I took my car in for an oil change and they advised me that the chrome on my tail lights was peeling and that it was a known issue with the 2011 Taurus but would be replaced for free. What they didn't tell me was that the "replacement" parts were only covered for 12 months and that my extended warrarty would not cover as they were "replacement parts". 14 months later the "replacement" parts were peeling again and I was advised that they couldn't cover them. When I complained that no where was I advised on the limited warrarty they told me they would take pictures and submit to Ford's and that if I waited 24 hours I could call and get my case number and work directly with them on the complaint. Ford had NO message from Imlay City Ford but opened a case number for me and said the service manager would call me within 48 hours. That never happend, when I called Imlay City Ford to inquiry I was told that they were working on it and found out the because of all the complaints they had extended the "replacement" parts warranty to 48 months. However, I was been granted that as my case was BEFORE this decisions. They then tried to talke me into purchasing the replacement parts without the chrome to avoid the problem. Really? I paid for a limited vehicle with chrome why would I want without and oh, there was no cost savings. When I called Ford back they told me the regional manager would contact me within five business days, that also did not happen. When I complained the third time the regional manager refused to take my call but said she would communicate directly with the dealership and they would call me within the hour. 7 hours later they called to advised that they could now replace the "replacement" parts under my extended warrarty but that I would be required to pay a $100.00 deducticle. I still have an open case with Ford and no one has chosen to communicate with me. The only person at this dealershop with an ounce of desire to provide customer service is the salesman Bob who is still trying to help even though he completely understands I will never purchase a vehicle from them again. I had been shoping around for a "newer" used car with low mileage and could find nothing in my desired price range. A friend suggested your dealership, so I called. Your salesman was more that car with low mileage and could find nothing in my desired price range. A friend suggested your dealership, so I called. Your salesman was more that helpful and made every effort to meet our needs. He found the exact vehicle that my wife wanted, color, accessories, and all. He treated her very well and explained all the details so she could understand completely. He got us a fair trade in and arrainged for an excellent finance rate. This buying experience was extremely smooth and everything was done when it was supposed to be. I will come back to this dealership! More
Used car, title not ready when there to pick up vehicle, car inspection did not find broken trim around parking lights, interior was not detailed, console was dirty and sticky, we were asked to sign blank f car inspection did not find broken trim around parking lights, interior was not detailed, console was dirty and sticky, we were asked to sign blank forms for financing, and car inspection said that the car alignment was good, but had to have Belle Tire do an alignmnet within 1 week due to the car pulling to the left. Calls to dealer did not get any satisfaction for these items. This car was only 2 years old with 40K miles, and Imlay City Ford responded with Sold As Is. We will not shop there again. More
