They had a car that I was interested in even though I was 100 miles away. I took off a day from work to go up there. When I got there they told me they had tried to call me the night before (which is true) 100 miles away. I took off a day from work to go up there. When I got there they told me they had tried to call me the night before (which is true) but the only thing they did (after 9:00 at night) was leave a rude message that I should call them back. When I got there they told me they didn't have the car around because their manager was driving it (even though we had established an appointment). But, they said, they had another car that was just as good, even though it had a blemished title. I wasn't happy but I thought we might be able to reach an accord on that vehicle. Then when I tried to discuss terms, they informed me I wouldn't be able to pick the vehicle up for 7 to 10 days until they were sure the checks had cleared. I told them I was bringing certified checks (one from me and one from my bank). So the salesperson pulled in his manager who said he would make an exception for me like he was doing me a favor. The next sticking point was that they weren't going to sell me the car, for cash, unless they could pull my credit rating. I guard my credit rating like a dragon guards his gold and had already had my credit report pulled by my bank; I was not interested in having it pulled, again, and I told them they weren't extending credit so there was no need to pull my credit rating. The manager Enos or Enez or something like that told me they were protecting themselves. At that point I got the clear message that they neither wanted to do business with me nor had they ever had any intent of selling the car, they advertised, for cash. Watch for: Very high credit terms offered by them - And a disinterest in working with you if you want to pay cash. They use a good deal to bait you in and then tell you oh that one isn't available but we have this crappy one (Taken back as a Lemon) you might like. Unusual demands like demanding a pull of your credit rating even when you are paying cash. I will NEVER do business with these guys again and I don't recommend any of you do either. More
