It was the easiest time I've ever had buying a car. I will never buy a car from anyone or anywhere else. More
I was met on the lot by Scott who showed me the SUV I was interested in and answered all my questions. I received everything we asked for and did not feel pressured in anyway. interested in and answered all my questions. I received everything we asked for and did not feel pressured in anyway. More
My wife and I purchased a used car on a Wednesday. Upon discovery of some needed minor repairs, my car was returned for service, the next day. I initially agreed to leave my car, for necessary repairs (new rear tires and passenger rear window noise repair), from Thursday to Monday. The part(s) needed for the window wouldn't be available until that Monday. On Friday, we discovered that we would need a loaner car, to negate an inconvenience. On Thursday, Scott (MCSA Syne Specialist)said that there were no loaner cars available, but he would see what he could do. On Friday morming, I left a message for Ted to give me a call regarding the loaner car. I wasn't able to make contact with him until after 1:00pm. He said that he didn't arrive for work until 12:00pm. He indicated that he would check with Scott and get back with me later in the day. It was getting close to the end of the work day, so I called again, leaving a message requesting that Ted get back with me before the end of the work day(Friday). By 7:00pm I had not received a call from either Scott or Ted, which caused my wife and I an inconvenience. I've been dealing with this dealership for years. This is the first time I've experienced such a shortcoming. Was my request asking too much? If the request couldn't be met, then a timely call would have surely sufficed. Thus, my overall experience rating of "okay" was marked with exceptions as indicated above. More
I put a deposit down for a car, told them I would pick it up in two days. (We were 2 hours away). I was waiting for all the necessary paperwork to be filled out. The manager told me he would get all the p up in two days. (We were 2 hours away). I was waiting for all the necessary paperwork to be filled out. The manager told me he would get all the paperwork ready and then a few hours later I get a call telling me they had sold the vehicle to someone else. VERY Unethical business practice. Not to mention a lack of customer service, since I was almost always the one having to call them back to find out what was going on and where was the paperwork. More
We arrived looking for a Ford F-150. We were met rather quickly by a salesmen and shown a truck like we were looking for. When it came to getting the price and making the deal we ran into many problems. quickly by a salesmen and shown a truck like we were looking for. When it came to getting the price and making the deal we ran into many problems. At first it seemed like we were getting a good fair deal but after contacting another Ford Dealer in Maryland we were offered a sales prices $600 less then Hertrich offered and 1.9% finance. We wanted to keep our business in Delaware and called Hertrich back and were assured they could do the same deal just bring in the paperwork from the other dealership. We did that and what happened next was some of the most unprofessional behavior I have witnessed in sales before in my life. The sales price was matched but the interest rate was 5.99%. We went through Ford Motor Credit at both places yet for some reason Hertrich would not give us the 1.9% rate. I was told the other dealership would not give us 1.9% interest either or they would have wrote it on paper. I was also told that Hertrich was in the business to make money and if the other car dealership was going to do that deal I should buy it from them. This was after I drove almost an hour to come back with the assurance that Hertrich could and would meet this deal. To top it all off the conversation was not held in the privacy of an office or at a desk but while I stood in middle of the showroom floor. Thanks to the arrogance of CW we took our business to Maryland and bought our new truck at a price lower then Hertrich first would do and at 1.9%. In one day between the sales price and financing we saved $600 and $23 a month on the payment. So take their own advice and mine and save your trip and money and buy your vehicle somewhere else. More
Called and Emailed, the internet person contacted me and said "yes, we have your exact car in stock". She Emailed me with "this is our physical address". I called the sales Mgr Mr. Collins I believe Friday said "yes, we have your exact car in stock". She Emailed me with "this is our physical address". I called the sales Mgr Mr. Collins I believe Friday 15 October 2010. I told him what we wanted and he said he would be waiting. Wife and I traveled 46 miles to that address, spoke with Mr. Collins and you would think we were from Mars, no car waiting, did not know if he had a base 6 cyl Mustang on lot and acted like we never spoke to him. He assigned us to a nice young man that had not sold a car yet, I was hoping we would be his first. Was not to be. 1 hour later still were not shown a car BUT they did have a coffee machine at 75 cents a pop, how nice. Sales Manager was at the front counter with 2 other men, seemed to be having a good time shooting the breeze. I got disgusted wife and I left and told him goodbye, have a nice life and I'll never be back. He came running outside wanting to apologize. I told him "keep it, means nothing to me. Id like to thank them for wasting 3 hours of our lives, almost 100 miles round trip and gasoline. More
