I contacted Off Lease on Friday, June 11 regarding a 2019 Tesla Model 3 Long Range. My initial contact was made by calling the dealership. I’m not 100% sure that the man I spoke with was the same person who Tesla Model 3 Long Range. My initial contact was made by calling the dealership. I’m not 100% sure that the man I spoke with was the same person who I’d have the poor experience with later, but I believe it was. I told him which car I was interested in, and he immediately began telling me how he had been looking at the same car, admiring it and thinking about getting it himself. I mentioned how I lived about an hour and a half away and I was hoping to get some close-up pictures of the vehicle sent to me before I drove all the way there to look at it. I mentioned that I was specifically concerned about scratches and swirls in the paint as Tesla is known to have sensitive paint. I asked him to please send me a few pictures and short video and he said that he would do so as soon as he got a chance. Later that evening, I received a text message from Andrew who advised me that he was having trouble sending me pictures, but that the car had no scratches or swirls on it. That made me a little suspicious but I couldn’t imagine that he’d flat out lie about the condition of the car, knowing that I was coming the next morning to look at it. I thanked him and told him that I would make the drive the next morning so that I could be there when the store opened. The next day, I arrived and entered the store right at 9 AM when they opened. I met with Andrew, who took some of my information and then went to retrieve the car. He brought the car around, and I immediately noticed scratches on the bumper. He said, oh those must be from when they were moving the car around recently. I said well you just told me last night at 9 PM that the car was fine. As I continued to look around the car, I noticed more scratches, swirls, nicks, and even dents and almost every single panel of the car. At some point while I was inspecting the car, he brought his Manager David out who immediately jumped to Andrew’s defense - things like “I’ve known Andrew for a long time and never known him to be a liar” - and “with the used car market the way that it is, this is a good price for this car” - completely ignoring the fact that I was providing him evidence to his face (the text messages) that Andrew had lied to me, which caused me to waste my time driving an hour and a half to come look at a car which was completely different than advertised by their salesperson. I did receive a call shortly after I left from the store GM Jason who seemed nice enough and offered to buff out the scratches and give me a small credit to repair the rest - but at that point, I was already past the point of doing business with this company. Typical scummy used car dealership. More

I was there more than 6 hours and only looked at 1 car! I’ve never taken that long at any dealership. Was not offered water My car was more than kbb only 1/2 tank gas and not washed.
