Can't thank Vallyn McLeod, my Sales Rep, enough for his patience, knowledge and kindness. He clearly listened to what I wanted in the car and most importantly to my budget. Been a customer at Delray Nissan for years and the turnover in personnel has been widespread. Recently they remodeled the whole place and only had a few salesmen around. They also had only a few new cars on a lot with seemingly hundreds of cars. Still, I've always gotten relatively good deals with few of the usual last minute glitches when the finance manager does the car dealership flim-flam adding bogus charges. And the salesman, Steve Gani, eased the process with the best deal he could offer to end my soon to expire Altima lease and putting me in a new lease for a new Sentra, though another 2k down payment only 18 months after a similar deposit and the same monthly on a lower model Nissan didn't thrill me -- but came down on the first offer by 50 bucks a month. He was honest about being hamstrung by some sort of variation in offer limits that made it impossible to give me the same deals from 18 months ago. Didn't seem fair but the deal was good enough and he's a much more honest and helpful guy than you'll find in any car dealership. He gave me his cell number if I needed help and went through the registration and insurance changes in a snap. When the keys were lost for the Sentra (something I found astonishing) he said he would drive it to my home when new keys could be made the next day. And the glitch -- something about a $600 "acquisition fee" (ha) -- and I called the finance guy on it, it was waived. All in all, the usual dealership follies, but I may have walked out had Steve not been there backing me up the whole way. I'd recommend asking for him. More
I went to this dealership in mid June to sell my father's car back to them after he had passed away. They were willing to take the car back and pay back the loan. The car was in excellent condition and had extremely low mileage. While I recognized they could sell the car for far above the payoff amount, we negotiated a deal where I would get some money back. They advised me that once the loan payoff was done and they received the title, they would send the check. We filled out the sale paperwork and the check request. I was also told it would be within 7-10 days. 7 weeks later, they have not sent me the check, and I am getting the runaround from the dealership. The car was already listed and sold on their website. They are not to be trusted. More
