Excellent service. They worked with us to meet our needs - price, color, amenities. They answered all our questions and if one of them does not know the answer, they always find someone who can answer it. More

I appreciate your message. I do not wish to have anymore contact with Gunn except to get my money back for the poor tint job (so I can pay to have it done at another place.) There were other issues that happened in regards to our experience that I did not put in the review but do not have the time to go into them. I have wasted TWO days now trying to get the tint done. Thats two days I didn't have to waste and I certainly will not waste another second. As I wrote in the review, David Fanning is amazing. My husband and I were truly impressed with him. If you could make sure the check for the tint gets mailed to us I would appreciate it. V/R Sara Polanco

Dear Mr. Manosca, I hope everything is going well with you. I noticed the Dealer Rater review and wanted to follow up with you. I thought our General Manager, Eric Scott had reached out to you and had resolved this issue. Please contact me at your convenience. I want to make sure everything is ok. Mr. Holloway, I did get to talk with Mr. Scott regarding this feedback/review. I appreciate his candor and professionalism in explaining to me GUNN ACURA's pricing policy and how my research was accurate regarding the "dealer's inventory tax." Had this been explained and cleared up in the beginning of my negotiating (what I believe) was a fair price (minus the $25 fee), a more positive review would have probably been written. However, for the mere $25 your sales representative was not willing to waive in lieu of a guaranteed auto sale, it really made a bad first impression to me and my family. I thank you for your concern and follow-up to try and make things right. At this point, I think it would be best for us to move forward and take what we've learned from each other to ensure any business deals we make produce a WIN/WIN situation especially during these tough economic times. Regards, Mr. Manosca

As much as we’d like to address the questioning of Gunn’s “core values” first, let us say that this customer is exactly right. In the State of Texas, the law allows for the dealer to pass along the Dealer Inventory tax to the consumer. Gunn has a corporate policy that this tax will be part of the fees listed for the customer to pay, as is our legal right. As far as our “core values,” Gunn pioneered the One Price method of selling vehicles in Texas over 15 years ago because we believe all people should be treated fairly. We do not negotiate on price or fees regardless of race, gender, age, service to your community or service to our Country. Our customers appreciate that we don’t play favorites. We are the only dealership in Texas to do this, however, we are not the only dealership to pass along the Dealer inventory tax; just about all of them do and will make this another point of negotiation for you. Gunn Acura is very proud of our reputation. We offer a no-hassle, transparent purchasing experience where all prices, taxes and fees are clear for every customer before they decide whether or not to purchase a vehicle. We would like to remind those reading that we are a business. Is it hard for us to watch a customer leave? Of course. But it is even harder to maintain our reputation when those with a marginal understanding of our core values choose to attack it. We invite you to do your own research; the article “Where does the car dealer make money” on the Edmunds website is a good starting point. You’ll discover that a new vehicle’s profit is about $500.00 and a previously owned vehicle’s profit is about $850.00, this currently includes Dealer cash. Out of these profits the Gunn dealerships supports their employee’s livelihood – many of whom are retired or active reserve Military, pays to keep the doors open, equipment working, and advertise to bring in more customers to keep it all going
