Sean also told me he'd get me a great deal on enclosed shipping (I suspected he was just enticing me for the sale). He came through on that too. Half of what I'd paid before for enclosed shipping. The only snafu was I had to wait for the title as the loan had just been paid off, but he and the owner, Nick, took care of that with a temporary registration and sent the title along when they received it. I'm generally suspicious of car dealers but would buy from these people without worry. Highly recommended. More

Two weeks after the purchase I experienced problems with electronics,took it to a certified shop in Orlando where I lived and found out it had a bad alternator which was shorted out by the air conditioner condenser water leaking into the electric components,had to have a new alternator and fan blower installed, needless to say the extended warranty they sold me covered nothing. Never again will I recommend or even tell anyone about Global what a none credible business. I intend to let the Florida BBB know about them.. More

A World Class Auto Showroom The year was 1996 when I saw my first glimpse of the upcoming C5 Corvette. I had printed out a pure black beauty from the still infant internet and hu The year was 1996 when I saw my first glimpse of the upcoming C5 Corvette. I had printed out a pure black beauty from the still infant internet and hung it on my garage wall. Whenever I was out there tuning my GT Performer BMX, I would give a glance towards this magnificent machine and whisper to myself “someday”. Little did I realize it would take twenty years of waiting and a little help from Global Auto Showroom before my dream would come true. Fast forward to 2016. I finally entered into a career that would allow me to support my wife, child and something fun for myself. Something that I have wanted for a very long time but never could acquire. Something like a Corvette. After talking things over with my family, and getting the all-important nod of approval, my hunt began. It was a pin pointed mission. There was only one model and a three year spread of Corvette I was after. The coveted 2002-2004 C5 Z06. This may seem like a simple hunt, but the remaining examples of Z06 tend to be, well, very used. The first Z I looked at was a torch red tortured machine. I actually felt bad for the little guy, akin to walking away from a dog that was obviously abused but there was nothing I could do about it. The second Z06 was so molested by an obvious amateur, it was beyond reproach. I didn’t even drive it. Not losing spirit, I knew somewhere in Florida, locked in a barn somewhere would be a forgotten Z. And you know what? I was right. It wasn’t quite the musty ranch barn I had imagined, it was a showroom, Global Auto Showroom. It was a Saturday morning when I ventured from Saint Pete to Bradenton where Global is located. It was a beautiful day and driving over the Sunshine Skyway really reminded me of why I love Florida so much. Now, Global is not your typical used car joint. In fact, after seeing Global, I don’t think I could ever go to your typical Big Bill’s Used Jalopies ever again. Global is different. When you walk into the showroom, you are not harassed by large men who smell of last night’s whisky and cigars. You’re met with beautiful cars that are obviously taken care of. This showroom is a climate controlled house for exotic beauties. I was met by an Audi R8, a Cadillac CTS-V and then by Ryan. Ryan was not an exotic like Audi or Cadillac, but he was much more helpful in answering my questions. I told Ryan my business for the day was with the black 2002 Corvette Z06 advertised on the Global web page. Ryan didn’t waste time and brought me over to the Vette which was nestled in between an exquisite Camaro SS and what appeared to be a golf cart with a windshield wiper (Closer inspection revealed the vehicle to be a Smart car, a golf cart is bigger.) Ryan started the engine. It rumbled to life with all the glory of the early 2000s. Flash backs of Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and Star Wars Episode II filled my mind and quickly left, I was grateful. Now this is where I found great appreciation for Global Auto Showroom’s, uhm, showroom. Ryan pulled the Z06 out to the center of the floor, putting the Vette in the spot light. I was able to give it a proper 360 degree walk around and inspection. It was a beautiful untouched Z06 with a paltry 37K. Still a baby. Ryan took a copy of my license and insurance card, threw me the keys and suggested I take it on I-75. You see, Ryan, and the rest of the staff at Global are professionals. They know their cars and they know what they’re capable of. So, far be it from me to not follow a professional’s suggestion. I was more than happy to test drive all 405 horse power. I returned to Global about 25 minutes later, my jawline still fixed into the smile position. The Showroom had a pristine Z06 on their hands and the burden to separate the two rested with me. Joe Winters, the Sales Manager, met with me next. After a handshake, I readied myself for a long afternoon of haggling and negotiation. I had a budget to stay in and Global had a business to run. I was certain that to reach a gentleman’s compromise we would both be locked in a long, tedious process. Joe brought up the Z06 profile on the computer and asked how I liked the Vette. I calmly explained how I enjoyed the vehicle while on the inside I was shouting “Holy xxxx I love it!!” I told Joe what I was willing to spend on the Vette. Joe was more than happy to work with me. In fact, everybody at Global was awesome. These guys love cars, just like me. They take pride in the vehicles they sell and they certainly don’t sell junk. One look at the showroom quickly proves this. Joe printed out two quotes. One quote was my offer to him, basically a breakdown of everything that fit my budget. Joe then printed out his offer to me, another breakdown of what he needed to sell the car for to keep the business rockin’. And that was that. I took his offer. Let me explain the magnitude of this situation. Because the Showroom is a no-nonsense upfront and honest business, I was able to reach a deal with Joe in five minutes. Let me say this again. I reached a deal on a flawless, lightly used Z06 with 37K miles in five minutes. Skipping all the used car xx made my day. I never felt better spending money. After twenty years of waiting I am now a proud owner of a 2002 Corvette Z06. A childhood dream finally come true and I have Global Auto Showroom to thank. It’s possible I might have saved a few hundred dollars on another Z, but it was the care and attention that Global gives its cars which makes that couple hundred dollars negligible. I would like to personally thank Joe and Ryan for their excellent customer service and no xx salesmanship.
