I purchased a 2011 Toyota Corolla new in April of 2011. We had it serviced every 5,000 miles at Deluca Toyota in Ocala, Florida. The first time I took it in (5,000 miles) for routine maintenance, I mention We had it serviced every 5,000 miles at Deluca Toyota in Ocala, Florida. The first time I took it in (5,000 miles) for routine maintenance, I mentioned that the car pulled to the right and had from day 1. The service person I dealt with blew it off as "it must be the crown in the road". That made sense, so I didn't pursue it. Boy, am I sorry I didn't. Anyway, they did the routine maintenance at 10,000 miles, 15,000 miles, and 20,000 miles. I must note that I had them change my oil 3 times, and every time they overfilled it. One time it was so overfilled that I had to take it to my mechanic to drain 1/2 quart off. Anyway, we went on vacation the end of August. When we got back, the car had 25,000 miles on it. So it was time to change oil and rotate the tires. I took it to my mechanic, and he changed the oil, but he said he wouldn't rotate the tires because the front left (and back left) were severely worn on the inside of the tire. He said it should be covered by the 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty. When I called the dealer, the service manager said that was an adjustment, and they only covered that for 1 year or 15,000 miles. My mechanic then suggested I take it to an alignment shop. When I did, I discovered that the front left tire, especially, was worn down to the belt. He said I was lucky that the tire didn't explode. I ended up getting an alignment and 2 new tires that replaced the two on the left side. At that point, I was only concerned about the safety of the tires, not keeping the old tires for "evidence". I wish I had. When I got home, I started to think. If BOTH tires on the left side were that worn, why wouldn't the dealership have told me when I had it in for my routine 5,000 mile maintenances? But, they were quick to point out to me at 15,000 miles that my cabin filter was dirty, and they could replace it for $61. And my wiper blades streaked. They could fix that for another $61. I declined both. I had to ask myself the question - "Why would they tell me about the cabin filter and wiper blades, but not the tires"? I will let you draw your own conclusion. I filed a complaint with Toyota, and they forwarded it to Deluca. When I talked to Deluca, I was told that there was no record of my ever saying anything about the car pulling to the right, and at every 5,000 miles, they inspected the tires after rotating them and they were fine. Now, you could make the point that maybe this tire wear happened after they rotated the tires at 20,000 miles. I know I thought about that. But how else could you explain that the left back tire was worn almost as bad as the front tire, and it was on the front when they rotated it to the back at 20,000 miles? My contention (and I don't have any documentation to back this up) is they rotated the tires and never inspected them properly. My opinion is the alignment was off from day 1, and they never really inspected the tires at the 5,000 mile intervals. There is no way a trained technician could have missed the excessive wear on the tires. When you couple that with the fact that they always overfilled my oil, I wouldn't trust this dealership at all. And I will never go to this dealership again. I will recommend to all my friends that they avoid them, too. I just don't think they're very honest. This is all just my opinion. I bought a Toyota Corolla for it's reliability, not the dealership service. Fortunately, I have a mechanic who is honest and does great work. I'll be taking my car to him for anything in the future. Should anyone want to talk to the mechanic or alignment place that looked at the tires and verify my assessment, feel free to contact me for their names and phone numbers. Update on 11/8/13. I don't know how else to enter my information, so I just edited my initial review to add more to it. Deluca called me (Vera) and wanted to talk to me. I called and talked to Vera. She was very nice and wanted to know if I knew there was a proration on my tires that I had replaced. Nobody ever told me that. I would have thought the service manager would have told me that when I talked to him, but he said nothing. I just received a check in the mail from them that covered the prorated portion of the tread life. For that I am grateful to Vera. If she hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have known. I have no clue why the guy that did the front end alignment didn't say anything about it, either. Anyway, I am pretty well satisfied with Vera's response/check. At least she did something to help me out. I must state that Deluca service shouldn't have done what they did, but I also understand that they service tons of cars every week. As with any dealership, I would proceed with caution. You really do have to keep an eye on them and research things that don't sound right. But I wanted to at least get it on the record that Deluca did help me with my issue. So thanks to Vera. More

They raised the price $3k after finding out I had sub-prime financing approval. We called in reference to a 2013 Toyota Tundra XSP-X that Deluca had on the lot. It had 5XX miles, just purchased by a lady and driven for a few days and then returned, so really, in our, eyes it was new. We Deluca had on the lot. It had 5XX miles, just purchased by a lady and driven for a few days and then returned, so really, in our, eyes it was new. We had discussed the "Best Possible Price" with them over the phone, because we didn't want to spend all day driving up there just to come home with nothing. We were ready to purchase that day as we had to have a bigger truck for our even the next day. Adam, our sales rep had called us back after speaking with the internet sales director, Randy. He gave us another 1000 off, which was acceptable on our part, but the funny thing was, he was trying to push us into a new 2013 Tundra WITHOUT all the options that the XSP-X had. He said he could sell it to us for 2k less even, than the XSP-X, however, with all the options the XSP-X had, it was worth staying with the one we had originally called about and I explained we were coming for that truck. We had even agreed to a price over the phone and told him we were leaving that minute to make the 2 hour drive up to Ocala. When we arrived, we didn't see the XSP-X anywhere on the lot. I immediately dialed Adam showing concern that we fianlly arrived and didn't see the truck there. He said he would be right out. He drove his little cart over to us on the lot and explained that the truck went out on a test drive. We were somewhat upset because here we just drove over 2 hours to complete this deal and we held up our end of our promise. Adam decided to drive us aroudn the lot showing us other Tundras that we were clearly not interested in due to not being white (our only acceptable color in Florida sun and 4x4 option which my better half wanted). He kept repeating that he could get us a much better deal (2,000 off from the other truck) but that is not what we wanted. The other truck had an upgrade wheel package worth 2k alone before any of the other add-ons. We were there for the XSP-X and that was it! We decided to wait in the lobby and the customer came back with the truck we intended on purchasing. When they came inside, we were told we could see it. We asked to drive it and they wouldn't allow us....REALLY?! We just drove all this way and were being treated horribly!!! Ten minutes later they tell us the guy bought it. I WAS FURIOUS!!! I understand sometimes people do not show up when they say they are coming, but we did, and we werent just "around the corner". We were there just as the truck was pulled out on a test drive. What should have been done, as we called and showed, was let the man test drive it and offer it to us first, seeing we were coming to make the deal happen! As we left aggrevated, the man says, we can offer you a new truck for 2k less, as he had been preaching. We told him that WE WERE THERE FOR A TRUCK, as we needed a truck for an event the next morning and could not believe they wasted our time. He said they would give us a loaner and order us a truck the way we wanted it. We decided to step back into the office. They did apologize, even though it was clear from the moment I called, they didn't want to sell me that truck (didn't put two and two together until later). When we started working number on a truck that they had to find and put leather in, it was NOT 2k less than the truck we were considering, it was the same price, WITHOUT all the options that the truck that we were there for in the first place. They lied...we kept going with the deal. It was gettign close to 9pm and they told us they couldnt work the finance papers out that night (other dealerships say they can do financning up through 12am). We settled on a number and a truck that was not yet on the lot, and Adam comes over and states they CAN NOT give us a loaner, not even for just the event we had the next day. We were lied to for several hours!!! I asked for Randy. He came over, as smart allic as can be saying their rental department was closed. We explained, we were there to buy a truck several hours ago that they sold from underneath us, then we were enticed to stay by them ordering us a truck to our specifications, telling us it would be 2k less than the other one with everything we wanted and then some, then it turned out being more, we were told we would get that loaner to use (which was most important) and NOTHING HAPPENED that we were promised.... We walked out VERY upset! This place is full of liars and decietful people. We took our business elsewhere the next morning and bought everything we wanted for substantailly less than Deluca Toyota!!! WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE TYPES OF PEOPLE AGAIN, AND WE ARE RETURNING TOYOTA PEOPLE!!! More
Where do I begin, this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had trying to purchase a new vehicle. The most dishonest staff in Florida. After 7 hours of trying to make a deal, it was time to sign the paper work. From the price of my trade in to the interest rate, it was not what we agreed, when I changed my mind and did not sign, they had without my permission already took my car and removed the seat covers , took my decals off, changed the oil, removed the plate and plate holder emptied my personal belonging and was showing it to customers. What an invasion, we were still negotiating. When they realized that I was not going to purchase a new one, it took over an hour to get my car. Then they threw the keys down on the desk and did not even let me know where my car was. I had to walk around the parking lot about 15 minutes until I found it. they did not put my seat covers back on or offer to give me new decals. What a bad ordeal! I will never go back and advise others to stay clear of this dealership!!! More
The worst dealership ever. They are misleading you just to sell the car. Mr Brigante and his boss need to stop treating people like fools! Someone broke into my car and therefore I had to replace the passenger window.I brought my car back to Deluca to have the tinting put on the new window. It matches perfectly and looks great. While my car wa the passenger window.I brought my car back to Deluca to have the tinting put on the new window. It matches perfectly and looks great. While my car was there, I asked if they would take a look at my air filter. It was in desperate shape. They installed that and topped off my fluids and gave her a good wash. I really appreciate that they did what was required to have my car running smoothly. I have to admit, I don't always get in there on time, so knowing they will make sure it is up-to-date is important to me. Thank you as always! More
I went in for service on a 06 Tacoma, dealt with Airiana who was very efficient & pleasant. While waiting we went to look at cars and were helped by James Agee who was very knowlegable about the new & used vehicles. How suggested a 2013 Tacoma, took a test drive and were impressed with the handling of said truck. Unfortunately, our credit is not perfect. Jeff Thyng & Colin Way worked with us, found financing, although interest rate is 11%, we were able to trade & purchase new. This will help improve & get our credit rating back to where it should be. We feel we were so blessed to meet & work with fine professionals. The DeLuca dealership is a wonderful organization, not only for their fairness to the customer, but their dedication to the community. I would not want to purchase a vehicle anywhere else. More
Terrible practice at this dealership. They will try to get your business by hook or by crook. My personal experience with a purchase of toyota where they continued to offer a price quote over the phone th get your business by hook or by crook. My personal experience with a purchase of toyota where they continued to offer a price quote over the phone that seemed too good to be true. Yet I drove 50 miles to see what they indeed had to offer and my instincts were in fact right they added $2000 to the quote they offered to me. They tried to apologize saying that there was "miscommunication" and I must have misunderstood them where it was supposed to be selling price of car not out the door. Not only denying it they then asked me to write down what I thought was a fair price for the car and wasted another 10 minutes only to find out that they wouldn't go any $ below their new quote which was much higher than other dealerships. Take my advice stay away from their sales dept. Typical dealership who knows how to lie face to face to continue to run their business. I can't believe so many people fall for their practices and I am shocked at so many positive reviews at this site. People if you want my advice stay away from Deluca, try Rountree Moore where they have a code of ethics and believe in customer service and go out their way to make sure a customer is happy. In the end in some ways I was glad I ran into Deluca this time so I know never to return to them in the future. More
