Service manager refuses to fix broken horn because he claims "I need to hear it in the shop" even though I supplied a recording as per their request with my cell phone. The service manager heard the reco claims "I need to hear it in the shop" even though I supplied a recording as per their request with my cell phone. The service manager heard the recording, and still told me that no warrantee parts are changed if they don't fail in the shop. I'm quite sure if this was his vehicle, he would replace the horn without hesitation but I'm only a customer so why should he afford the same customer service to me. BUYER BE WARE. THIS DEALER, AND THIS SERVICE MANAGER HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE WORDS CUSTOMER SERVICE MEAN. And let me state that my vehicle is still under warrantee. Stay as far away as you can from this place. I went with their advise (record with cell phone because horn cuts in and out) and he still refused to replace the horn. Ill take my business elsewhere. More

I visited few NJ dealers and the Gensinger Volkswagen is by far the friendliest and great dealer. Being the oldest Volkswagen dealer in the US and operating with tradition since 1950 did help this dealer ha by far the friendliest and great dealer. The owner helped sales person and was directly involved with me and not salesman going up and down to the manager just to come back with same answers waisting my time. I found the deal that I was looking up in a few minutes. I walked out happy driving my new volkswagen. Highly recommended 5 + Star dealer. I did recommend my coworkers and friends that if volkswagen is their choice they should never consider anyone but Gensinger volkswagen in Clifton NJ. More

The Salesman was very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the product. He also worked with me on getting a price that I was comfortable with. He was very friendly and genuine in his demeanor. He ask us to give then $100.00, well the all idea was to keep the car in our name.. BIG MISTAKE WE MADE GIVE THEM THE MONEY .. HE PROMISE US TO RETURN IF ANYTHING HAPPEN.. WELL LOAN WASN'T APPROVE ASK FOR REFUND AND WE STILL WAITING FOR THE MONEY. BACK TO DEALER SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO SUCCESS AT ALL, THIS MANAGER OR OWNER SAY TO ME I WILL TOOK 72 HOURS TO RETURN OUR MONEY.. TOOK HIM ONLY SECONDS TO GO TO HIS MACHINE AND TAKE OUR MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT.. STILL NOTHING, I WILL PRESENT CHARGES AGAINST THIS DEALER AND HIS MANAGEMENT PEOPLE NOT TO THE SALES PERSON WHO TRY TO HELP US .... I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO GO THERE ...
