How many times does it take to fix a car? One, two, three (keep going), four, five (almost there), six!!!. That is right six times to fix an issue. And this is a five star dealer? Somone better take a few st (keep going), four, five (almost there), six!!!. That is right six times to fix an issue. And this is a five star dealer? Somone better take a few stars away, I say at least four of them. The staff is friendly since they know the issue cannot be determined. They say they fix it each time and always there is an issue. Is it to much to ask that they fix the car right the first time? More
CONSUMER ALRERT! DO NOT BUY FROM FREEHOLD JEEP ON ROUTE 9!!!! SCAM ARTISTS! BIG TIME! My husband just bought a used 2005 Jeep Cherokee from Freehold Jeep. The salesman told my him that the car was in e 9!!!! SCAM ARTISTS! BIG TIME! My husband just bought a used 2005 Jeep Cherokee from Freehold Jeep. The salesman told my him that the car was in excellent condition with no hidden problems. LIE! After test driving and ultimatly buying the car it's gas guage failed to work and the sun roof leaked in a rain storm. Literally once we drove off the lot. Within 3 minutes of owning the car. We brought the car back the very next day and they refused to void the contact and take the car back. They also told my husband his trade in vehicle, used in part of the sale, was only worth $500.00. We find out from a loose lipped salesman that they sold my husbands old car for $3,500.00 and that is part of the problem with taking back the used car and voiding the deal! So we bring the car back to service. They keep the car for almost 48 hours and finally tell us, "Sorry our computer detected no problem with the gas gauge and we water tested the car and found no leak." We take the car back home because we have no other option at this point and guess what...... the car STALLED on us on the parkway. I was livid. I called back the fiance manager and told him that he sold us an unsafe vehicle and his reply was bring it back in and we will look at it. I told him that we just picked it up from service and inquired on how come the problem was not detected then. He didn't have an answer and told me that he would call me back. He never called back. He had his mechanic call me instead. His mechanic then implied that I made up the story about the car stalling! I was shocked! I asked him if he seriously thought I would waste a day on the phone and at a dealership to make up a story about the car stalling. His answer, Well I know you had a problem with the gas guage and a leak and wanted to get rid of the car the other day....so anything is possibly! Basically they sold us a used car with all sorts of problems and are making us out to be the bad guys when we report the problems with the car. Basically saying that we are making up the problems up all together and they don't exist! So they check the car a second time in one week and surprise.... their computer detected no problems! Go figure! This is a giant SCAM and the people at FREEHOLD JEEP SCAM ARTISTS! Oh and don't expect a vaild CARFAX from them either. We demanded to see the vehicle report and guess what mileage was noted on the last report..... 19 miles! That's a report done on the jeep when it was brand new! It now has 39,000 miles on it. Where's that report! NO where to be found. DO NOT STEP FOOT INTO FREEHOLD JEEP DEALERSHIP NOT EVEN TO TEST DRIVE. More
They took in the trade and never paid it off. Sweet talk of the salesman and changing a deal, on the end, apparently, the salesman forgot to include the trade in the contract. Of cause after the contract wa of the salesman and changing a deal, on the end, apparently, the salesman forgot to include the trade in the contract. Of cause after the contract was signed they didn’t paid the car off, so Chrysler wants the money saying that this is my responsibility... Of course Chrysler is not interested in finding out what happened. If you value your time and don’t want to, have problems stay away from Freehold Chrysler Jeep!!! More
The service was absolutely horrible. The first salesman I talked with never showed me around the entire test drive car at first. I test drove it, it didn't feel right at all. Something was humming. Not a goo talked with never showed me around the entire test drive car at first. I test drove it, it didn't feel right at all. Something was humming. Not a good sound for a brand new vehicle. He never showed me any features. Just told me to drive. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. Not good salesmanship. Another guy had to jump in and take over. I was about to walk out any second. I just couldn't stand this kind of un-professional act. They are also chock-full of lies. Especially with warranty, oil changes and features. Don't let me fool you. Do a lot of research. I highly suggest ConsumerReports.com and Edmunds.com. It will blow them away. More
The service department is poorly managed and the technicians clearly don't know what they are doing. I recently went to pick up my Grand Cherokee after being informed that it was fixed only to find technicians clearly don't know what they are doing. I recently went to pick up my Grand Cherokee after being informed that it was fixed only to find that the problems with the transmission had not been fixed at all. My 17 daughter was astitute enough to pick this up yet their technicians and their service managers were not. They had no answer as to why they thought the problem had been fixed. Its been almost a month and the car is still not operable. More
Hands down the worst car buying experience I've ever had. Their service department is also tops in being amongst the worst.
