Going on a month ago I brought my car in for new tires to be mounted and installed and a simple oil change. I had class that day an I was insured that I would be done well before that. Well I was late. They put the wrong tires on the car, damaged my brand new rim that I just bought that same day and tossed my old tires that I specifically said I wanted to keep for another set of rims. I was patient and I was given one of the service writers word to make it right. I was promised another set of tires since they tossed my old ones and still waiting for compensation for my new rim that was carelessly damaged by the tire tech. Then when I constantly check on the status of what's going on the staff made it seem like I was a hassle and blew me off. I ask questions about the status and no answer but when I said I was going to go higher and complain then I get a response. It's unfortunate that I have to write a negative review but I've been more than patient. I've spent thousands of dollars at this service center but I don't think I will be returning for any kind of service once we are all squared up. I've even spoken highly to other subaru ambassadors and car enthusiast but I can no longer do that again. I will repost another review if and when compensated for my wheels and rim. More
Five Star Subaru Dustin got in touch with us after our email to the dealership showing our interest - it was all good and courteous from there on - treating customers Dustin got in touch with us after our email to the dealership showing our interest - it was all good and courteous from there on - treating customers to help them instead of preaching to sell. His assistant made us familiar with all the features and showed us the car - we did not buy it on the first visit! When we went again Dustin really helped in finalizing the deal. Will recommend Dustin to any of our friends and relatives who expresses a desire to buy a Subaru. More
Not 1....but 2 We had the most positive experience at Five Star Subaru that I have ever had buying a car. I contacted internet sales and was connected with Dustin Cox who quickly responded to all of my emails and even located the exact color and trim level we wanted. He communicated the price to us (which stayed the same throughout the entire transaction). We set an appointment to come and drive the Outback that he located. During this drive they looked over our trade (which we had sent pictures of and got a value on already) after the drive, Dustin told us they would honor the value of our trade that we had agreed upon. EVERY single number stayed exactly the same as he said they would be during the whole time...there was absolutely no back and forth and Dustin was honest in every communication we had with him. Bill in financing was amazing with NO high pressure, just information and he let us choose exactly what we wanted and didn't stick us with anything we didn't want. We left very happy on that Saturday. As soon as we got home we began talking about how my wife also needed a new vehicle and how much she loved my Outback. I quickly got on the website and found the one she wanted and went through the process with Dustin again. I found the process even smoother the second time and by Tuesday evening we had another Subaru Outback from Five Star!! Freddy helped us in financing this time and we had the same experience with him...the transaction was fast and easy. We left the dealership smiling once again. We now have TWO beautiful new Subaru Outbacks and the experience we had at Five Star was amazing in every aspect. If you are looking for a new Subaru - I HIGHLY recommend you shopping at Five Star Subaru in Grapevine. You won't be disappointed in their honesty and service, something I value in a dealership almost more than the price. More
Incredible experience (from someone who hates buying cars!) Buying from Five Star Subaru was a fantastic experience thanks to Dustin and the team. That's the short version of this write-up - go to Five Star and Buying from Five Star Subaru was a fantastic experience thanks to Dustin and the team. That's the short version of this write-up - go to Five Star and ask for Dustin. Read further if you're curious why a guy who absolutely hates major purchases drove away delighted and how it contrasted with a Mazda purchase two months ago. Getting Started: Dustin Cox greeted my wife and I at the door and spent time getting to know us. We knew we would need a car soon but were in no rush. We wanted to make the right choice, try many options out, and go from there. Most importantly, we both have professional sales backgrounds, so we're overly-aware of common tactics and tricks. Dustin heard us out from the start and continued to make clear, all the way through the process from this point, that he respected our preference. Test Drives & Selecting a Model: We drove every car in the line-up to get a feel for Subarus. I'd never driven one. We were also test driving elsewhere. A key difference at Five Star Subaru from Dustin, and another rep who stepped in to help us one day, was the focus on customer education in place of pressure to purchase. There's confidence in the product to the point that the experience was a focus on the benefits and quality of the product. Our test drives elsewhere were more a focus on the sales person trying to convince us we'd be happy. Sales people take note - when you spend time up front getting to know your customer, you can make powerful benefit statements without going over the top. It's a delightful difference and gives the customer a sense of self-discovery. Pricing: Coming to an agreement on price was easy. This discussion took place entirely via email. Dustin was clear about all costs and fees. It's the first time I was set up to walk into the dealer and knew, with certainty, exactly how much I'd pay out the door. I got a great price for a great car. Day of Purchase: Effortless. My wife and I were thoroughly impressed with how easy and pleasant it was to finalize the offer and take our car home. Dustin, as usual, was as thorough in educating us as we requested. He set clear expectations, too. We had a car for trade in and came to a fair agreement on price, once again, without any hassle. Bill, in Finance, showed us several available options for warranties and other services. There was no pressure - simply education. All the numbers matched up to the agreement beforehand with no surprises, too. Maybe that shouldn't be surprising. However, our recent Mazda purchase was radically different. The finance guy at this other dealer was high-pressure, slick sales, and the financing process felt like running the gauntlet. Finally, Dustin gave us the final walk through and sent us on our way with smiles on our faces. Driving Away: My drive off the lot used to be full of anxiety and uncertainty. Did I make the right choice? I can't help but wonder if some of that stems from how most finance guys use so many fear tactics and stories as one of the last things you hear before driving off the lot. This time was different. I just felt fantastic. I'd do business with Five Star Subaru again. I encourage you to do the same - and ask for Dustin! More

From the first contact with Dustin to getting the keys and driving away it couldn't have been better. Dustin was very helpful and made sure we stayed informed and getting exactly want we wanted. Thank you for a dealership that treats its customers like family. Management should be very happy with having employees like Dustin and Bill taking care of their customers. More

They clearly need sales people who care about their customers and managers that can train their staff appropriately. My transaction and interaction should have been a ride at six flags. They say there is transparency in the sale, but "clearly" they are in it just for the sale, to the point where they call you to come into the dealership to secure a vehicle and once you arrive they change the deal terms that could have been easily said over the phone. My wife and I wasted our 4th of July gathering documents to purchase a Subaru Outback and were asked to come into the dealership. At the dealership we were told that there were problems with the deal. I get problems can happen but why waste our holiday to try and sell us into a different vehicle. If you can please, please, please drive to another dealership that has moral compass, business sense, and is customer centric. Run away from this place. You will be treated much, much better somewhere else. More
Best car buying experience in my life. I am 61 years old and have bought many new cars in my life. This dealership was by far the best experience ever. We live about five minutes from anoth I am 61 years old and have bought many new cars in my life. This dealership was by far the best experience ever. We live about five minutes from another Subaru dealership in the Metroplex, but chose to do business here, even though it is >25 miles from home. We purchased a new 2017 Subaru Forester The dealership as a whole is awesome: spotless facility, even the repair bay. I love what they do in terms of supporting animals (like having a pet adoption day). They have a nice kitchen area with drinks and snacks for customers. But what really sets the dealership apart is the people. We dealt with Dustin Cox of the internet sales department. He was low key, professional and - most important - listened well and tried to focus on my needs, not just "pushing" a specific vehicle. I had a very narrow range of cars in mind (color, trim, etc.) and Dustin tried to be as helpful as possible. He responded very quickly by text and email when I reached out to him. Once we finally honed in on a specific car, he arranged for a test drive - having the car ready. After the sale, Subaru doesn't just send you away. Dustin spent nearly an hour going over the features of the car, and they scheduled a follow up in a couple of weeks. He continues to check in and make sure we are satisfied. All in all, this dealership is a major step above the others that I considered. More

Dustin, our salesman, was awesome from the first communication - no pressure and very patient in explaining differences in the models and options. We decided on a new Outback. Freddie in finance was great, too - no stress or pressure there, either! Stephen was the one who approved the great deal we got for the lease and was there to make sure everything went well. Again, great experience! Will return here when it's time for another vehicle! More

No high pressure sales tactics. Very down to earth and friendly. He spent a great deal of time walking my wife through the apps. We purchase a Subaru Crosstrek which came strongly recommended by Vehicle Safety Lawyer Todd Tracy in Dallas. Tracy sues car manufacturers for safety defects that cause serious injury or death in car accidents. He praises the Crosstrek as one of the most crashworthy vehicles on the road today. Thank you to Dustin Cox and the GM Tony Hooman for a great experience!!! More
