Like a year and a half ago my wife and I were discussing purchasing an expedition but I was concerned my wife would feel the expedition was too big. We had previously done business with Five Star and I tol purchasing an expedition but I was concerned my wife would feel the expedition was too big. We had previously done business with Five Star and I told her I would like to take her there so she could test drive an expedition first hand. I felt then she could decide whether the vehicle was going to feel too big or not. That is when we met Jim Fairwether, we told him at the time that we were not ready to buy because we were saving our money for the purchase. He was so kind to take us on a test drive of a new expedition. He shared about all to the aspects of driving an SUV, especially an expedition. After his gracious time, help and instruction we both felt when we were ready to buy we definitely wanted to come back to Five Star and work with Jim in purchasing our expedition. For him to know we were not going to purchase a vehicle any time soon but then go ahead and spend the time and care with us meant so much. Now that is customer service! On Monday of this week we called Jim and told him the type of expedition we were looking for. He called back that day and said that Five Star had just traded for an expedition and gave me all of the details. When he began to share, I thought that is really not what I'm looking for. But after his description, I decided I needed to at least give it a look. Upon arriving I met Jim and he showed me the vehicle. When I first saw it, it caught my eye. We took it for a test drive and I loved it! The expedition ended up being exactly what we needed and more. Had he not called we would have missed this one, wow, we would have truly missed a great vehicle. Jim and I went in to the dealership to negotiate the deal. It was one of the best purchasing experiences I have ever had. Jim and his manager were very gracious and pleasant to work with. NO, pressure to buy. I asked Jim if he would find out what their best deal was and he came back with a good price. The transaction was great and quick. Later that afternoon, as a surprise to my wife I took her to Five Star to present her with the expedition. Jim greeted us upon our arrival and immediately took my wife to the expedition and introduced her to her new ride and the uniqueness aspects of that expedition. With great courtesy Jim answered all of her questions and sent us on our way. My wife loved the experience and is glowing about her new expedition to all of her co-workers and friends. As a husband, that is a win win! So, we have been telling others about our experience with Jim and Five Star. We felt like we were treated with great respect, courtesy, value care. Our experience was definitely a 10! Now that is customer service! And customer service is huge to me. Thanks Five Star for a great experience and a huge Thank You to Jim Fairweather for his over the top care and concern for the customer. More
Our expericnce with James was like none other. He was knowledgeable, informative, helpful, patient, very friendly and curteous. He always answered my call of called me right back. My wife was wanting a larger vehicle so we went in to look at the new Explorer. We meet with Tut and he showed us around - retrieved the keys for the Explorer and took if for a ride. Next we drove a Flex - my wife fell in love with this SUV - not so much for the looks but for the room inside and the drive. Tut and the team made the whole experience a pleasure. My wife and I left with a smile on our face - not a beat down look! The deal was straight forward just like I like it - the numbers were right the first time - no back and forth stuff - a straight honest deal that we all were glad to do. The finance team was fast and efficient, did not push all types of add-ons and extra's. The whole buying process was a breeze. The Flex was delivered showroom ready with a full tank of gas. This was my third purchase from Five Star Ford and every time has been a pleasure. I have used Five Star Ford for all the maintenance on my Ford Vehicles, from the simple oil changes, tires, to repairs. I don't feel like I need to go anywhere else as they always treat me right and prices are very competitive. I know it may sound corny - but they truly are the one stop for my vehicles. More
I initially visited Five Star Ford due to it's proximity to my house. During my research I did visit three other Ford dealers, but based on my experience with all four dealers, I would have probably cho to my house. During my research I did visit three other Ford dealers, but based on my experience with all four dealers, I would have probably chosen Five Star even if had not been the closest. I made several trips to the dealer each time with several questions. The sales person was always very patient and helpful with my seemingly infinite list of questions. A couple of the sales people at the other dealers didn't seem to quite as patient. A week after we bought the truck I even ran into the sales person at a nearby mall. He was will very anxious to make sure all my questions were answered and that I was completely satisfied with our purchase. Since my company qualifies for "X-Plan," price negotiation wasn't necessary. I have always been a very aggressive negotiator when it comes to car purchases. (Many years ago my wife told me she thought the sales person was going to cry.) After the sale, my son commented that he had never seen me be so "nice" to a sales person. It may have seemed like I was being "nice," but the sales person gave me no reason to "play hardball." More
