First Texas Honda

High pressure and deceptive sales tactics. We went in to purchase a used older model car we found on the website. Of course the car was "already sold" and another car was pushed on us. We were rushed to make a decision, and when it looked like we were not going to buy, the sales person, Dovlet, insulted us and changed his demeanor from friendly to surly. We had very little time with the car because the sales person said, "the detail crew needed to finish getting it ready to post". So we were ushered away from the car after a short test drive and overview. Back in his office talking, the sales person used the pitiful tactic of needing to feed his family. In order for him to make the sale he offered to put new tires on the vehicle. Unfortunately for us we agreed to purchase, but could not pick up the car for a week; they needed to do a "Safety Inspection". We made a down payment and left. A week later we received the car, drove it 100 miles and the check engine came on. Come to find out the Head is cracked. First Texas would not, in good faith, offer us any kind of help with this. On a call with Leo he indicated that he wanted us to be happy, but when it came down to it they did not, because our happiness would end up costing them money. I believe that the code was cleared by First Texas prior to sale, and that they were fully aware of the defect in the vehicle. Deceptive business practices. I looked up the owner online and he is accused of at least 4 counts of arson (2024). Couldn't outright purchase a property, so he set it on fire. Now I have a car that is undriveable. I would avoid First Texas at all costs. More

I am on my third Honda from First Texas. I have seen the service department go from good to bad and back. It is great now. They were attentive, welcoming and efficient. I was very pleased with my experience from my arrival through my pick up. Having attentive service is number one, then receiving a video which showed areas of my car needing service and explained by a m through my pick up. My 1st time buying from this dealer and was a most pleasant experience for me. I called about my buying a used Jeep and the salesman "Luke" set up an appointment for me; upon my arrival he introduced pleasant experience for me. I must say both were very helpful through the whole process; from the first time I saw the Jeep until them switching my plates and helping me swap my stuff from my old Jeep to the new one. Terribly disappointed in the sales team. Test drove a used vehicle, and told the sales rep I'd be back the following day. The next day, I was told the car was taken home by an employee, and Test drove a used vehicle, and told the sales rep I'd be back the following day. The next day, I was told the car was taken home by an employee, and it would be back on Monday. I was promised "first dibs" by the sales rep. Upon return, and in store, The used sales manager (Evan) shook my hand and agreed to do paperwork with me. Five minutes later, I was told the vehicle was being sold to someone else. No explanation was given when asked why I was promised first right at the vehicle. Just that it was going to be sold to someone else. Felt like they didn't like that I wasn't trading a vehicle or using their financing. Do not recommend. Update. Next business day, I find out the financing fell through with the previous buyer. No call or contact. Went to the dealership, to be told again, the car was sold to yet another buyer, and that paperwork was complete. It doesn't matter when you get there, or what they've promised, they will lie to get the better deal. More

Pito is the consummate professional and Raymond went out of his way to have our son's CRV ser department (Raymond) was a genuinely smooth experience.
