Good and bad things to say about Kia and service. Was there because of a noise. They ended up keeping the car (SUV) overnight and I had asked for a loner but they said they do not do that anymore. They did provide a ride to my house and luckily I did not the need of my car for those 2 days with anything that couldn’t wait. When I picked up the car I was not told that I would have to return because there was an issue with a sensor and they needed to order the part. (When I got into my car the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree) The other issue was the original dx was that I needed new shocks and struts ( and also 4 tires) The work was done to the tune of $2700 and when I drove away the car made the same noise!! To say I was a little upset would be putting it mildly. Making yet another appointment (3rd one) and having to wait for an opening, I was given a loner because the car would be in for at least 2 days. (Surprisingly I got a loner when they didn’t do that anymore) Nice car but too many alarms and way to technical for an old lady like me. I did not pay for the sensor or the rear stabilizer bar but did have to pay for the front one (another $350) The service department (Harrison, Adam, Katie and Rick are always very polite and courteous but feel that I get treated with cookie cutter answers. On the first big job Harrison did “find”! a coupon and took 10% off, which I appreciated, but feel Kia should not be charging for an alignment when you purchase four tires and that all Kia dealerships should have a discount coupon online. Pro rate a discount on any work say over $100 or something to help the consumer. I like my Kia (3rd owner) but if I get another car will it be a Kia? I really don’t know. Thank you. More
I own three Kia’s and I will not be back. Car was there for a couple of recalls and new passenger side mirror and it took almost two weeks. That being said issue come up and I understand it took longer than anticipated for the mirror it is what it is. What was really disappointing was the way the car was returned. The exterior was beyond filthy especially the roof. Not sure were the car was left but a chalky white substance was all over the roof of the car. Took the cat to the car wash and still had to go home and wax/buff the roof out. I kick myself for not turning around but I was so aggravated I just left. More
