The Ed Martin Automotive group was founded in 1955 by Ed Martin Sr. Ed began life as the first born child of Clarence and Nellie Martin in the Indiana University Coleman hospital in Indianapolis, IN. His entrance into this world shows that his life was destined to be anything but typical. Ed graduated from Manual High School as a football star and continued his football career at Butler University in Indianapolis. Ed's parents were both attorneys; his mother was the first woman to pass the bar in Allen County, Indiana; his father was a Supreme Court Justice for the State of Indiana. In 1946, in Indianapolis, Ed, at the tender age of sixteen, purchased his first automobile with money he earned from delivering groceries and selling ice in his neighborhood. He sold his first car from his parent's front yard. His parents, being both professional and very proud people did not allow Ed to continue selling cars from their front yard. So, Ed approached the neighborhood "filling" station owner and negotiated a deal to sell his cars from the station. As sales grew, it became apparent he had to open his own used car lot, from which he continued selling and wholesaling used cars. In 1955, Ed Martin purchased his first new car dealership, an Oldsmobile dealership in Shelbyville, Indiana. In 1960, Ed Martin became the youngest Ford Automotive dealer in the entire United States. Over the following years, the Ed Martin Automotive Group has evolved into one of the top privately owned corporations in Indianapolis and top eighty corporations in Indiana.

Alivia Steven, This is an unfair review. Your partner asked us to procure an Altima in the color that both of you wished, in fact, the only color you both would accept. We incurred costs to bring this vehicle to our dealership from Elizabethtown, KY. When the vehicle arrived you would not take delivery. Because this was a sold vehicle to you and Armando and there were costs involved, we cannot return your deposit. Our team even offered you both a $500.00 discount to take the car and you both refused.

We had seen the altima previously and Malena said they could get the exact same Altima in with a $500 hold. We instantly asked if it was refundable and she assured us it was, as if it wasn't we would not of put the $500 hold as i hadn't even seen the car in person let alone drove an Altima. Once again how is this our problem that you had to outsource to get this car? It was even to our understanding it was coming from Ohio originally. Why would we get it deliverd to our home when the whole purpose of this hold was to look at the Altima, which we were going to purchase until we got disrespected and yelled at by upper management and finance. If you read the review, you will see where it is stated that there were many aspects of this purchase process that did not aline with what was told to us. Yet again you avoid the question as to why the $500 is non refundable when your employees(malena and emily) both said it was refundable. I understand mistakes happen but you need to take accountability and action for them.
