1 week and serious engine problems I purchased a used Volvo V70 and a week later, on Thanksgivings, the oil system died and I was stranded in a small town 45 min. south of Atlanta. The I purchased a used Volvo V70 and a week later, on Thanksgivings, the oil system died and I was stranded in a small town 45 min. south of Atlanta. The car did come with "No Warranty", but major problems a week into owning it was unexpected. The oil system died and it blew all the oil out. I ended up having to pay $2300. for repairs and a rental. Also being a holiday weekend there were no rentals available from the one rental company in town. Even though it came with no warranty I expected the car to last more than a few months before having major problems. Smaller problems, that cost less than a $1000, I did expected. I went here to buy a used car because of ads talking about how they go thru used cars very thoroughly before selling them. This is the 1st time in 35 years, that a used car I bought died so quickly or cost so much to fix. I did go back to the dealer and asked the salesman if there was any chance they might help pay a little. Either toward the rental ($400.00+) or for repairs. Now I did not expect much, but I was hoping for a couple of hundred. The problem and being stranded not only emptied my bank account but caused me to lose a job I was suppose to start that weekend. I was not able to get back in time and so they hired someone else. To say the least, I would never recommend this dealer to anyone. And would try to talk people out of shopping there, if I knew they were planning on it. James P. Chattanooga, TN More
