We went to this dealer knowing they had a used 2010 jetta diesel manuel which is what we were interested in. We were immediately told they had no diesels. We asked again they went to check and then showed diesel manuel which is what we were interested in. We were immediately told they had no diesels. We asked again they went to check and then showed us the 2012 diesels. we asked for a used diesel again, we were again told they didn't have any. we asked again he checked then said oh i have to find it i found it before he did. we test drove it and were unimpressed with the manuel for the first time in our lives...the car had very little bells and whistles also. we then attempted to negotiate a price but the manager Carlos said he wouldn't budge. so we went to our car to leave, but received a call that left us in the parking lot so they came out and handed us our insurance which i didn't realize we had left..that is about the only good thing of this whole experience....then the salesman came back out and begged us to go back in now apparently they were willing to negotiate on a price, since this whole experience left a tast in our mouth we went to another dealership and were treated much better and were never lied to. More

I was looking for a white 2012 GLI with Autobahn, Nav, and 6 speed manual. The only one available was at Rusty Wallace VW. I live in Florida and called Mario to confirm they had the car. We negotiated a price (very easy) and I flew out the next day. Mario even picked up my wife and I at the airport. The purchase process was flawless and 2 hours later were driving our new GLI home. After I had a very bad experience with Park Cities VW on Lemmon Avenue, I came to Rusty Wallace. The reason I went to Park Cities in the first place, was due to my Nieces husband works for Sewell, and he an Lemmon Avenue, I came to Rusty Wallace. The reason I went to Park Cities in the first place, was due to my Nieces husband works for Sewell, and he and knows one of the managers in new car sales. To make a long story short, I was lied to, and was told that there were no black or blue two door GTI's available in the state with automatic, I ended up out of frustration with a Turbo Beetle, which after a week, I had to get out of it. I really did not like it. I came to Rusty Wallace, and Scott Pittenger was my salesman. He was great!. He found both blue and black GTI's within the first five minutes I was there. Scott was very friendly and was very knowledgeable about GTI's. I also got a great deal on trading in my 2012 Turbo Beetle. I explained my situation and he was very understanding and helpful in getting me out of that Turbo Beetle. Scott is an excellent salesperson. No high pressure antics, very honest and straightforward. This is our second purchase. He took a lot of time to make sure I liked it as it was my first time seeing it and a GIFT!! :) I Cannot say enough about how professional and helpful Toby Walls was for this new item...I drove away feeling like it was really mine and I knew a lot more than I thought I would after he got through telling me about all of the wonderful features of my new car. I thought I couldnt take in a single thing because I was so blown away that this was a gift... but he took every opportunity possible to point out something cool or unique or how it worked. He gave me lots of information for when I got away from the dealership as well that I could call him and ask him anything anytime night or day. WoW! I have also been introduced to the nice professional Service Advisor as well and got a first time appointment already. My calendar is marked and I will be ready to return and see all the great folks at Rusty Wallis Volkswagen. The young Lady who did the Financial paperwork. When I started driving to work that morning, the battery light came on. I was certain my alternator was broken which led to most lights being on by the time the car finally died on the way home. Kurts took light came on. I was certain my alternator was broken which led to most lights being on by the time the car finally died on the way home. Kurts took only a cursory history of the problem and mostly focused on the lights and, of course, on the diagnostics fee. He did not understand that the lights were on because the system shut down due to discharging battery. He called me later to say the oxygen cencors need replacement, ABS system needed work and all that because there were some codes in the computer indicating that. I tried to tell him again that the alternator was broken and it lead to codes being set in the computer. He said I had to replace the battery before they can diagnose anything. The battery was not even one month old. Kurts was undeterred. I asked to speak with a manager and got Dan. He informed me that VW cannot diagnose anything until the battery is replaced. My take on this is if you need to install the battery to diagnose, do it. After you make the diagnosis, you then tell me what is wrong and we would go from there. I informed Dan that the battery is just one month old and if it needs to be replaced he would have to go with me to Pepboys and convince them that the battery was bad. We ended Friday on this tense note. Next day, Saturday, after spending close to a couple of hours at Pepboys and running various tests until they found one that showed some abnormalities in the battery, we finally got a replacement battery. Once VW installed the new battery (and could not blame the problems on the battery any longer), they confirmed my diagnosis that it was the alternator. Of course they did not have the alternator in stock but the price would be $900. I got it from Autozone for $180, delivered it to VW that same Saturday. They could not install it on Saturday and finished the job on Monday. Instead of $900 I paid $180 for the part and $132 for labor. Saved myself almost $600. When I got the car, the battery cover was broken, the battery was installed crooked and was held down by only one corner of the barket, the day-time running lights stopped working, the lights inside the car when I open the doors stopped working too. They used to have different service managers and in all 10 years I went to them, I never had any problems. I don't know what they did to the old service managers but they have now all new people and the quality of service suffered tremendously. Avoid them, if you can. More
