I was extremely disappointed when I tookk my 2024 Expedition in to have it checked out for what I felt was a minor issue, I was initially told that they were unable to reset the transmission adaptiv Expedition in to have it checked out for what I felt was a minor issue, I was initially told that they were unable to reset the transmission adaptive strategy due to ids saying that there was a unique PCM identifier that was unrecognizable and that it would have to be reprogrammed at a cost to me. They told me that I would not be able to schedule the service until the following week. When I asked them why the $220 charge, I was told that that is what the service cost. I also then recognized that the year and Vin # on the service ticket was for our old 2017 Expededition and not our newer 2024 that should have been still under an extended warranty. I was told, that is what the testing cost. The next day I was able to take it in to the Ford dealer in Minocqua WI, and they ran their tests, said that the PMC identifier was just fine and could not find any issues with the car. The service charge for the time they spent was $0.00. next time I will try them first. More
