Mr Duke, I also have been around Chevrolet dealerships all my life. My father was a new Chevrolet salesman and the new car sales manager for a Chevrolet garage for over 40 years. I had my first job there and my brother is a Parts Manager for GM. I put in a fair offer, full NADA retail book value so it was not a low offer. I offered to buy the truck as is or wait for the truck to have the 18 inch dent fixed, the tali lights drained of water that was in them because they were cracked, also there were 3 different kinds of tires on it with various thread depth and a few other items that needed addressed. I was specifically told that I had to wait for the truck to go through the shop but since I was first I would have the first shot at purchasing it. The truck was still on the rack that night it was sold so there is no acceptable explaination that someone made an appointment and purchased it when I was waiting for a return call from your dealership when the truck had gone through the shop. I know because I was at the dealership @730 PM the night it was sold and saw it on the rack in the garage as it was in the exact same spot when I picked up my vehicle for service late that afternoon. There was no way that vehical left the rack that night as there was no one in the garage working. Your dealership sold the truck out from underneath me and I will not be back for service or anything else. If you feel that full NADA book value for a truck as is with the all the options and mileage is a low bid, then you have a warped sense of vehicle values. I purchased a Dodge truck with extremely low miles (under NADA value) and will be taking my 4 other GM vehicles to another dealership from now on since I've read your erroneous reply to my complaint. I will also be sharing my story with anyone within earshot. You owed me an apology. I was there first, had an offer on the table. Ricky NEVER talked to me. If Ricky said there was no deal, then the communications failure was between Ricky and Al. Now you can NEVER claim that this dealership has "never sold a vehicle our from under someone". Your dealership did it to me. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. You should've called me before your got your story wrong.
