I recently purchased a 2026 Honda CR-V EX-L from this dealership. I’m happy with the vehicle itself, but the purchase experience was disappointing. During negotiations, I clearly stated that I did not dealership. I’m happy with the vehicle itself, but the purchase experience was disappointing. During negotiations, I clearly stated that I did not want the dealership’s $995 Pro Package and asked whether it could be removed. I was told it was required in order to receive the agreed pricing. Pricing adjustments were made during negotiations, but the Pro Package remained as a separate line item in the final deal. In the finance office, the Pro Package was again presented as part of the deal and required my approval before completing the paperwork. While I understand no one physically forced the purchase, it felt like a required component of the transaction despite my earlier objections. After the purchase, I contacted the General Manager to request a goodwill adjustment. As he was out of the office, I spoke with a member of his team who reviewed the situation and confirmed the dealership’s position. I then ended the call once it was clear there would be no further adjustment. I was disappointed that concerns I raised during negotiations and again before signing were not addressed in a meaningful way, and I had expected more flexibility on the overall pricing or structure of the deal. Be sure to compare total out-the-door pricing carefully across dealerships, as I found the same trim can vary meaningfully in price depending on dealer-added packages and fees. I would recommend taking time to compare dealerships and understand pricing structures and dealer-added packages before deciding where to purchase. I needed to add unto my original request and Schooten handled it willingly. Plus when I asked for the car to be washed because it couldn’t go through the automatic car wash, that too was instantly grant handled it willingly. Do not trust the sales team. I drove 40 minutes in rush hour traffic to for a vehicle they said was available. After I told them I was leaving a bad review the manager called me to appologize and ask what they could do to prevent leaving a review. I told him nothing. But if you are reading this, maybe be honest with customers in the future. More
