Davis Chevrolet will take advantage of you, Buyers Beware! Avoid and find a more reputable dealership! My review is based truly off of my current real life experience. I was looking for a used jeep s Beware! Avoid and find a more reputable dealership! My review is based truly off of my current real life experience. I was looking for a used jeep so I contacted the salesman Jose Niño, who I thought was a friend, to help me find a great deal. Let me know they had just gotten a jeep in as a trade-in and asked if I wanted to look at it. Once I arrived, it had not been processed yet. It was in the back and I really liked it. So of course, I was told if I didn’t act now, the jeep would be processed over the weekend, and by Monday it would be sold from under me. Typical salesman tactics, unfortunately they worked and I went ahead and processed my sale. The dealer wanted to finance at an unacceptable rate, so I financed through my bank and purchased an extended warranty. We thought everything was quick and great…$12,000 later we were very wrong! The following has happened before my first payment was even due, which shows the timeline. A week into owning my jeep, I noticed it was taking a lot of gasoline, which I thought because of larger tires would’ve been the issue. Then a couple days later I noticed a lag and acceleration. This led to coming to a complete stop one morning while driving to work due to a flashing check engine light. I had to have it towed to the nearest Jeep dealer. After being given an evaluation by the service team, things were not adding up, and I was told by their service advisors that the damage with the jeep is not consistent with damage that would’ve happened in the time span that I have owned it. I immediately reached out to Davis Chevrolet and have only had “we will get back to you” or Voicemail. I have had several conversations with the salesman Mr. Niño who has not been helpful and blames me for not financing with them or purchasing the dealers extended warranty. It should not matter who I finance with. It is clear that due to the quick turnaround with the sale. I suspect they failed to do any of the 100 point inspections that were necessary. Most likely they would have found those issues like a bent axle, among other issues with the engine and motor and sent it to auction! Davis Chevrolet and Mr Niño, saw that we really liked the vehicle and they took advantage of that situation. We have called the owner and left various voice messages and everything is falling on deaf ears and they are not willing to budge or help us in anyway. We were simply another sale to them! The extended warranty purchased through our bank has denied our claim, stating that damage appears to be preexistent to our ownership of the vehicle. This aligns with the inspection report from our service advisor. So now we have to get our bank, that technically owns the vehicle, involved to fight for the damage to be fixed. This has been a very frustrating process, and the only way to warn others of the lack of professionalism, help or communication from Davis Chevrolet is by leaving this review. As I stated before, all of this has happened before even giving my first payment. So warning to anyone wanting to shop with a reputable dealership, I avoid Davis Chevrolet and look somewhere else! Far from Acceptable Customer Service from Davis Chevrolet. Not a fan of bad reviews, but I feel compelled to write one after my experience with Davis. Late July I purchased a CPO 2023 Silverado Chevrolet. Not a fan of bad reviews, but I feel compelled to write one after my experience with Davis. Late July I purchased a CPO 2023 Silverado RST with ~3500 miles on it. Really a new vehicle. Cash deal with a trade-in. After leaving the dealership and arriving home I tested the spare keyfob. It didn't work. Checked the battery and all good. Called Davis and was told to bring it it so they could check it out. A few days later I took it back to the service dept. and they took it away + vehicle to check it out. When the service rep came back, he told me the keyfob was actually from another vehicle entirely and that's why it didn't work. When asked what was the plan, the service rep said the sales dept. was going to try to find the keyfob first and then if unsuccessful, they would get me a new one. A few days later I called back to check on progress. Now I get the silent treatment as no one will answer their phone. Called several more times and left several voicemails asking for an update. Nothing. Even called the sales dept... same treatment. After checking the documents with my CPO purchase, I looked at the (much touted by GM CPO) 172-Point inspection, which is advertised as giving the purchaser of a CPO vehicle "piece of mind" with their purchase. One of the checks included covers keyfobs and as my 2nd keyfob is from another vehicle, I concluded that it wasn't actually checked before the sale. I spoke with GM directly and they eventually opened a complaint and called Davis's service manager, Dan Switalski, who told GM that I was apparently coming into Davis the next day to get the replacement keyfob. I'd heard nothing of this, so I called Dan and, as usual, was forced to leave a voicemail. That was several days ago, and I have never received a return phone call. What do I learn from all this? Well clearly Davis Chevrolet is more than happy to sell me a $50k+ vehicle but not stand behind that sale. I suspect that they would have to pay for the replacement keyfob themselves and it's cash out of their pocket. If it was a GM warranted item (remember it's not broken, it's simply from the wrong vehicle), then no problem, they'll do it. I also learnt that Davis Chevrolet apparently is happy to make up stories to get GM off their back. GM themselves told me that Davis had told them I was coming in the next day to get my new keyfob. Of course this was simply not true. I have bought and sold many cars over the last 40+ years of driving, and I have never been subjected to such a pathetic, deceitful and downright frustrating approach to customer service, by a name brand dealership. If I had purchased a used vehicle at a side of the road, no-name car yard, I would have expected to get treated this way. However I didn't... I purchased an almost new CPO vehicle from a Chevrolet dealership. Davis Chevrolet, I really expected far better from you. You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves for treating your customers this way. More

I did buy the vehicle because I did drive 190 miles just to purchase. Because they refused to replace the other 2 tires, this is one of the reasons I would not purchase or refer anybody else. Buyer Beware! ! We purchased a vehicle from Davis Chevrolet that had around 890 miles on it. My husband purchased this car because he has owned two previous models ! We purchased a vehicle from Davis Chevrolet that had around 890 miles on it. My husband purchased this car because he has owned two previous models and it was being discontinued. Davis Chevrolet advertised this vehicle online (Car Guru) as no accidents, no issues reported (we would never consider a wrecked car). At the dealer the paperwork shown stated that it had never been in a wreck, and the car still had a warranty from the manufacturer. This car was supposed to be for our retirement, and we had no problems until the car was in a wreck (not our fault). After the car was repaired, I noticed a passenger airbag light on that I had never seen before. I questioned this and was told it meant the airbag was working-I insisted they were wrong as the light has never been on. No, I was wrong. We found out the car had been in a major wreck in Torrance California when it was fairly new, and that Davis had purchased the car at auction and sold it to us knowing it had been in an accident. Unknown to us the airbag had not worked on the passenger side of the car since we had purchased it. The manager at the large repair shop where our car was repaired said he had seen this before and not to be fooled; Davis Chevrolet knew the car had been in a wreck when they sold it to us as they always inspect cars before purchase. He had worked many years for a dealer, and he told us to inspect the trunk/spare tire area of our car. We looked and OMG it was terrible-my husband was upset and embarrassed that he had been deceived. Before purchasing the car (and driving many miles to Davis Chevrolet) he had called to confirm the low mileage and that the car had never been in an accident; also, he had been shown a Carfax report and it was clean. Again, I do not believe for one minute that Davis Chevrolet didn’t know this car had been in a wreck. Davis Chevrolet shame on you! I am sure Davis Chevrolet will write a reply that states they don’t know who we are so let me give you a hint Dishonest Davis. Months after we paid cash and purchased our “wrecked car” from you there was a knock at our front door. It was a court process server-within a week of purchasing our car it seems Davis Chevrolet sold our old traded in vehicle at auction (at least that is what we were told by Davis Chevrolet) and it appears another person/dealer wrecked our traded in vehicle and now the injured party was SUING US! Why? Because my husband’s name was still on the title. Why is his name still on the title? You told my husband that they don’t like to change the name on the title because it looks like there have been too many owners. Months go by and there is another knock at our door, we are being served by the court again! They are still trying to sue us for the car we traded in at Davis Chevrolet. We still know don’t know what is going to happen-we just hope we do not have to hire an attorney. In closing due to the previous wreck (before we purchased the car from Davis Chevrolet) the other party’s insurance company states our car is not eligible to be devalued. We will not be compensated because of this-thanks Davis Chevrolet. I struggled while deciding if I should write this review, but shame on me if I do not warn others. I worked in an ER for many years, and I know that airbags save lives, and I am grateful I was not killed or injured in our wreck. There are always two sides to a story, and I have tried to remain objective while writing this review. Please think twice before you use this dealer, just stay away. This is an honest review and I hope it helps someone else. More
