When I walked into the dealership, Steve Chan and Tarek Olabi were right at the doorway. Steve immediately shook my hand and, among other things, asked me what my concerns were about buying a car. I told him that I needed a car that was large enough to fit me (I'm 6'3") and yet wouldn't be a huge drain on my finances as I put my last child through college. Steve showed me the pluses and minuses of several models, each time asking questions focused on my needs and if they were going to be met by the product. Tarek would occasionally add a line or two, and had a reassuring demeanor. Steve and I agreed that I should test drive the Accord S and it performed very positively. Steve knew everything about the car and was able to differentiate it from other models, always in a helpful, friendly way. I decided to lease the Accord S. Steve and I sat down to complete the necessary paperwork and credit checks, etc., and in the process, he became like a friend to me. Then I met with Tarek and he was extremely cordial and friendly. Leaving Paramus Honda that day, I felt like I hadn't been "sold" anything: I felt like I had two friends who helped me make a significant buying decision. I was able to trade in my Honda Pilot 2006 and get a fair price, then purchase my leased Honda Pilot 2009.
