I had an unfortunate accident that cost me my car about three weeks ago and was interested in looking into a new Yaris. I did not do the whole "test drive" experience because I had already driven the vehicle at Sansone (which I would never, ever shop from because they just make me feel slimey all over!) simply because the location is closer to my home. I went in to DCH Freehold with the intent to buy, knowing in advance that they did not have the exact model that I wanted (a 5 door hatchback Yaris) but knowing that I would feel more comfortable with them. Okay, my review might seem a little strange. I went on an evening to try and negotiate the deal and started working with Dina. Dina really, really isn't that hot. We were going with the intent to negotiate and were fully prepared with figures, inventory costs, etc. She pretended not to know anything and was just aggravating. Very typical Staten Island attitude. She did *not* make the sale. Her manager Henry most definitely made the deal because he knew what we wanted and was willing to actually talk. She actually made nasty comments about us not knowing what it's like to be paid on commission. Seriously unprofessional. But the great thing is, she had to deal with family issues. So she let us kind of "drop" off the radar which was aggravating for about three days before she disappeared. The ratings I'm giving here are **really** linked to Marc Beckenstein. Marc is the person who picked us up when Dina was going to be gone for the week. He was an amazing rep and really made the experience enjoyable. Marc went above and beyond to get me the vehicle in the color I wanted and as quickly as possible- this was an achievement to occur during a week with two separate huge snowstorms! He kept in constant contact with my husband and worked as hard as possible on getting us the car. He was friendly and pleasant and so welcoming when I came to get my vehicle. He gave me all the info I needed and then some! Marc definitely turned an experience that was slightly sour into a pleasant one and helped me to keep my overall positive attitude about DCH Freehold. Despite a few hiccups to begin with, I'm happy, have a great car, and would return!! More

This Toyota dealer far exceeded our expectations. My husband and I needed to terminate a lease early on a VW Passat. We tried Honda and 2 dealerships gave us the runaround. Everytime we were about to husband and I needed to terminate a lease early on a VW Passat. We tried Honda and 2 dealerships gave us the runaround. Everytime we were about to sign a deal, they would come up with some reason why they had to increase the monthly payments. In a panic, I called DCH FReehold Toyota. I was put in contact with Nancy. I was so aggravated with the other dealerships. Nancy calmed me right down and told me that they would take care of us and make sure that we were treated right. Her honesty and compassion was a breath of fresh air!!! She told me that someone would contact me within the hour. About 20 minutes later, James Cooper called. He too was honest and assured me that they would not be wasting my time. I explained that after spending hours at other dealerships, we did not want to come down and sit there for hours to not be able to make a deal. He instructed me to fill out the paperwork on the website and he would get the deal done. It was about 8:30 pm at this time and James said that if he didn't get back to me that same night (because they were closing at 9 pm), that he would contact me the next morning. He called me first thing in the morning and we made the deal. My husband went in later that day and did all the paperwork and drove our new Corolla home that night! It was such a pleasure to deal with Nancy and James. They followed up with us the next day and made sure that everything was good and that we were satisfied!!! We will definitely be recommending them and DCH Freehold Toyota to everyone we know that is shopping for a new or used car!!! More

After being completely satisfied with the experience I had at DCH Freehold Toyota in May 2002 when I bought my new Corolla, this was the first place I went when my daughter needed a car. I knew I wanted e had at DCH Freehold Toyota in May 2002 when I bought my new Corolla, this was the first place I went when my daughter needed a car. I knew I wanted either a certified pre-owned Corolla or Yaris for her. While looking around on the lot, John Bishop came over and introduced himself. He showed me several Corollas and the one Yaris they had for sale and recommended a particular 2007 Corolla CE that had only 20,000 miles. The car was in perfect condition. John even said he would be able to take $2,000 off the sticker price. John was very knowledgeable about the history of the car and explained that it was a leased vehicle that had been returned when the lease was up. He also showed me the CarFax report. He also took the time to look up the book value of my daughter's 2004 Hyundai Accent which had just been totalled in an accident so we would have an idea of how much money we would be able to use as a down payment. He also took the time to review the different financing options. Although I knew this was the perfect car for my daughter, I brought her in to test drive it. She was nervous since the Corolla was a little larger than what she was used to, but John made her feel perfectly comfortable. By the time the test drive was over, she loved the car as much as I did but still wanted me son-in-law to test drive it too. He then introduced us to his manager, Darryl, and told us that if we have any other questions and he wasn't available, we could contact Darryl. The next day, I met my son-in-law there and he took it for a test drive. John told us that the price of the car was reduced by another $1,000 dollars. Being a Toyota fanatic and knowing how they hold their re-sale value better than any other make of car on the market, I knew we weren't going to find a better deal anywhere else, especially since this was a "certified" pre-owned vehicle. We went back again and signed the papers to purchase the car. John was very patient with walking us through through the first mountain of paperwork. He then turned us over to the financial services manager, Levie, while he prepared the temporary license plate and registration. Levie was very patient too with walking us through the second round of paperwork. While all this paperwork must seem tedious and routine to them, it's wonderful that they realize how nerve-wracking and overwhelming it all is to the customer. They both took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and made sure we knew what we were signing and why. John's honesty was wonderful and refreshing. Not once did he try and sell us a more expensive model with bells and whistles that my daughter didn't want or need. He completely respected the fact that we were trying to stay within a certain budget and worked with us on that. He made sure we got the best possible deal for our money. When my younger daughter is ready for her first car and when the day finally comes where it's time to retire my 2003 Corolla, DCH Freehold Toyota is the only dealership I will ever consider buying a car from, new or used. I had a very good experience from my first contact with Michelle through the website. I saw two Highlanders I liked and asked her for more information. She called me back and provided more information. I s Michelle through the website. I saw two Highlanders I liked and asked her for more information. She called me back and provided more information. I scheduled a test drive for a few days later. I arrived a few days later for my test drive and was met by Michelle, who was friendly and led me to a salesman, James Cooper. I have nothing but good things to say about James. He took me out to drive the 2 Highlanders. He was patient and informative. He answered my questions. I wanted to go through the Highlander to make sure everything was in perfect order. James was patient and helpful. When I asked him to help me hit the brakes so I could check the brake lights, James reached over from the passenger seat and actually pressed it with hand. When I told him I was interested in the Highlander, we went inside to discuss the price. This was a pretty easy negotiation. James was straightforward and told me some figures on the car. We agreed on a fair price relatively quick with no tense moments. The paperwork that followed was pretty quick as well with Beth and Gary in the finance dept. Overall, I was more than happy with my whole experience at Freehold and would definitely come back for another car if needed. I would recommend my friends to James Cooper and DCH Freehold. They made an effort to make purchasing a car an easier time and pleasant experience. More

I had been shopping for awhile to find a used Toyota 4 Runner. I opted to make this dealership my last stop because I had an excellent service experience there many years ago, and wanted to make my purch Runner. My salesperson John Bishop was the consummate professional: friendly, not pushy, and highly knowledgeable. Levi, the gentleman who handled the financing was also a pleasure to deal with. We're just going to look, I say to my wife. Don't get all excited about a new car. We were introduced to Brian while we were looking for a Sienna on the floor. Brian told us that there were only a few 2010 excited about a new car. We were introduced to Brian while we were looking for a Sienna on the floor. Brian told us that there were only a few 2010 left. (2011 coming soon) and didn't have the color that we liked available, but Brian brought a van for us to drive to see how we liked it. During the drive my wife got so excited she fell asleep. (She wasn't driving) Upon returning to the showroom, and looking a the color in the bright sunlite, we deceided the color was OK. We went into Brian's cubical to see if we could make a deal. Brian's marketing manager, Henry Grossman join us and we did a bit of horse trading. My wife is now awake and excited. We agreed on a price and began to complete the PAPER WORK. Brian had to fill out endless forms and I had to sign them. (I don't understand why this info isn't entered into the terminal, rather than done manually). We now go the the finance manager, Dennis Fike, who explained the terms and interest rate of the contract to us. We were not interested in the extended warrantee and he accepted our response, no pressure to purchase the extended warrentee. Very nice. Now back to Brian. He tells us the car can be ready in less than an hour. We had a family commitment and really couldn't wait. we'll come back tomorrow and get the van. That could almost be the end of the story, but it gets better. We go to the dealership the next day and are greeted by Dennis. HEY,I have some great news, Toyota came out with a rebate on the 2010s' and your going to get a $1000.00 rebate. OK, now both my wife & I are excited. Brian takes us to where the van is parked and taped in the wind-shield is a banner thanking us for the business and congradulating us on the purchase of the van. Every one that we had contact with thru this transaction treated us as a valued customer. That was nice. So very few business today understand what customer service is that respect for the customer goes a very long way.. Our son bought his Sienna at Freehold Toyota and told us go there, you will like the service. He as right on.. More
