Went to several Jeep dealers. James Stith was the most knowlegeable about the 2012 Jeep Grand Charakee Overland and continues to find answers for me. I got blank stares from other central Ohio dealership knowlegeable about the 2012 Jeep Grand Charakee Overland and continues to find answers for me. I got blank stares from other central Ohio dealership's sales people when I asked technical questions. My wife and I are enjoying the Jeep. However, it has many highly technical and advanced electronic features that are actually fairly intuitive and user friendly but require some additonal dealer explanation beyond the printed manual and CD. We are downsizing from a one ton truck and living quarters equiped horse trailer to a smaller two horse trailer (6,000 pounds loaded)and wanted the power, towing capacity, and self-leveling features of the Jeep's suspension to insure safe towing with an SUV. The only surprise we got after our purchase is that the advanced towing package did not have a built in electronic brake controler. It came with a modular plug loose in the glove box ready to attach to your favorate brand of controler. Only looking at about a $150 expense if I insall it myself but in my opinion the top of the line tow package should have intergrated the controler into the vehicle. The break contoler issue aside, we are thrilled with the jeep, its ride, power, and features. More
