I have been purchasing vehicles for my family and the company I work for ,for over thirty years. In this case, I was helping my daughter find and purchase her first vehicle. I have to say that after dealing with Doug Schreiber for an entire week, I can say it was one of the best experiences I can remember. Doug did a very good job of explaining the Jeep Compass and the leasing process to my daughter. Not once did Doug try to pressure my daughter to make a deal. After the offer, that day, had to be rejected due to the cost being outside my daughters budget, not only did he not persist, he actually commended her for sticking to her budget. That, to me, was a very commendable thing to do. Early the next week, after looking at other vehicles online, my daughter decided she really liked the Compass, so I called Doug to see if he could work anything on the price. He was very professional and said he would try the best he could. I legitimately felt he was trying to make this work for my daughter. When he got back to us later in the week and said they could do a little better, I told him we were going to look at a vehicle of another brand, then stop in if my daughter was still interested. Instead of pressuring us to buy the Compass, Doug said it was not a bad idea to have my daughter drive another vehicle. When all was said and done, we returned to Crown and my daughter leased the Compass. One of reasons she did not pursue looking any further was the way she was treated by Doug. She, and I, felt he did everything he could and that he genuinely cared. Actually, during a very long afternoon at Crown, we met a couple others. whom I can't remember names, that went out of their way to be helpful. In closing I just want to say, Doug Schreiber, made this an easy and pressure free car buying experience for my daughter. I called and spoke with Ron, and he explained that he could not hold the car, he was able to move it to the side of the yard, and was ready and waiting for us when we arrived - my whole family in tow - myself, my wife, four kids (2-8 yrs), and our new puppy! Ron was great, and the staff at Crown was awesome - making us feel comfortable even as our kids started melting down as the day wore on and on and on. I understand there are lots of processes that have to be gone through, but I would request that you find out how to make purchases go faster We knew what we wanted, we knew what the price was, we knew our credit was great, we had our downpayment ready - yet it still took almost four hours to finish buy the car, after the test drive!. He is consistently attentive and quick to return a call or e-mail when I have a question. When updates are needed, I do not have to make any inquiries – he is quick to send me an e-mail or call with updates on the status of my vehicle when it is in his care. As someone who manages people in a customer-focused business, I can tell you how rare people like Ty are. I wish I had a whole team of people who care as much about their customers as Ty cares about his.
