This dealership has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with! My initial encounter with them was as expected with a car dealership. Dylan was very friendly and easy to work with. I ended up trad ever dealt with! My initial encounter with them was as expected with a car dealership. Dylan was very friendly and easy to work with. I ended up trading my vehicle in and it all worked out great. We ended up buying a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ. We came up from Minot so it was about a 4 hour trip back. When we had about an hour left the check engine light and traction control light came on so I messaged Dylan, and he got right back to saying he would call me first thing in the morning which he did. He had my husband check the spark plugs because the code said cylinder 7 misfire. He apologized, and said he was sorry the techs didn’t do a 100,000 mile tune up like they should have. That wasn’t exactly what we wanted to hear, but in the end, Corwin agrees to pay for 1 1/2 hours of diagnostic work to figure out what was going on. It was towards the end of the day, and I hadn’t heard back from the local Chevrolet dealership about a day they could look at it, and Dylan hadn’t called so I called him because I now had no working vehicle, and I have 3 small children all still in carseats and I needed to take them to school and daycare, and I live 15 miles from work in Minot. Dylan answered and I told him how I needed a vehicle. He said he was sorry, but there was nothing he could do about a vehicle because we live 4 hours away. If I lived in Fargo they would just give me a car to drive while mine was getting fixed. I understand that, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case so before I got too upset, I said I would just call Ryan Chevrolet to see when they could look at my vehicle. I forgot to mention that I did purchase the extended warranty and Dylan said as soon as the diagnostics was done depending on what was wrong with it my extended warranty would cover a vehicle while mine was getting fixed. Well my vehicle couldn’t get in until Wednesday. I called Dylan back and asked what I was suppose to do about a vehicle for the next 4 days he said again he was sorry but there was nothing he could do. He talked to the sales manager, and they were not willing to pay for a rental until this got figured out. I was extremely upset at this point because I had driven a vehicle off the lot and didn’t even make it home, and now I am out a vehicle because I traded mine in as well. Dylan reminded me that I didn’t just drive it off the lot I drove it 4 hours home. Apparently if you drive it 4 hours home and something goes wrong you are out of luck! He also reminded me that I signed an As Is contract and when I test drove it it was working perfectly fine. He also told me for a second time that he was sorry that the techs didn’t do their job by doing the tune up because they probably would have caught this. So he blamed what was wrong with the vehicle on the techs, but really he should have made sure everything that was suppose to be done on this vehicle was done. He also threw in my face that I signed an as is contract and that I didn’t just drive it off the lot. I have never had such terrible customer service. I knew buying a vehicle right now wasn’t going to be the most pleasant experience, but this was beyond bad! We never heard from him until Wednesday when my vehicle was suppose to go in. I was done talking to him so my husband did all the talking, but Dylan did apologize and he did go home sick so I thought okay I will give them another chance to redeem themselves. It can only go up from here right? Wrong! Dylan was out the next week, and my vehicle never got looked at until that Friday. Thankfully I found a vehicle to lend, but it didn’t fit all three car seats so my husband and I were taking two vehicles everywhere. So now we are on the 19th of December and the Chevrolet dealership said it’s definitely the lifter they ordered the parts, and they just need the inspector from the warranty company to come. They were going to be there by the 21st at the latest. I asked about my warranty covering a rental for me, and they said the warranty company will not cover that until the inspector approves everything. Dylan failed to mention this, and Ryan Chevrolet said I should ask Corwin if they can get me into something until the warranty kicks in. I told them this would probably not be happening because they already shut me down once. Well Wednesday came and went and Ryan apologized, but said the inspector never showed. The inspector was now suppose to show by Thursday. So I’m getting antsy because it’s getting close to Christmas and we travel 4 hours to family. Thursday morning I called Ryan Chevrolet and they mentioned again to call Corwin because even if the inspector showed, it takes at least another day for everything to get approved, and we were supposed to be leaving for Christmas the next day. I tried calling Dylan, but he was out sick so I tried contacting the sales manager Dylan was working with, Justin Dietz. After leaving several messages, and the receptionist taking pity on me she finally left a message with him to call me back. He did and he said he was willing to put up $250 dollars for a rental so I wouldn’t miss Christmas. I thought this was great, and told him once Ryan found me a vehicle I will get back to him for the information so they could take care of payment. He said he is very mobile so if it was easier he could just reimburse me. I said I would just call back because well at this point I didn’t have much trust in anyone at Corwin. Good thing I didn’t just take his word because after the nice lady at Ryan called everywhere in Minot she said the cheapest she found was $100 a day because I needed either a full size truck/ SUV or something with a 3rd row to fit all the car seats. I tried and left multiple messages and Justin never got back to me. I never made it to Christmas with my family. The inspector never showed up on Thursday nor did he come Friday. He was on schedule, but the weather delayed him and that was the last Ryan heard from him Friday. It is now Monday December 26th, and I am done dealing with this vehicle! I called Darin the General Manager twice and left two messages for him to call me back. I haven’t heard a word from anyone, and I’m taking my complaint to the BBB. I would never recommend them to anyone and if this is how you do business with people from out of town you should make sure to let people know not to count on you if something happens to a vehicle they just bought! Justin, the sales manager that was working with Dylan, did get ahold of me on December 27th. He apologized for everything that was going on with my vehicle and told me he should have given me his cell when I called originally on the 22nd about a rental because he is rarely in his office. He gave me his cell, and told me he would get this figured out, and get me into a vehicle while mine was getting fixed. I did ask if there was any way I could just trade my vehicle for something else on their lot because I just wanted to be done with all of this, and he told me good question, but that logistically wasn't possible. I called around for a rental because the dealer that is working on my Tahoe did not have any available at the time. I called Justin, and text him the information for the rental place because they said they had one in stock that could fit 3 car seats. Justin was also working with the extended warranty rep to figure out why it is has been almost 2 weeks, and an inspector has yet to come look at my vehicle. The extended warranty rep said the inspector tried contacting the dealership 10 times without much luck, and the dealership kept trying to give them the run around. I don't believe that to be true because I was getting updates on my vehicle every time they spoke with the inspector or someone from the warranty company, and the inspector would either tell them they would show in 24-48 hours or say they were on schedule to come look at the vehicle and never show. I finally got into a rental vehicle on the 28th because the rental I found the previous day was never reserved because it was too late by the time Ryan got the authorization from Justin to get one that night, and the next morning it was gone. The next day they couldn't find anything to rent, but one of Ryan Chevrolet's rentals came back while they were still searching so I was able to get into that. Justin told me on the 28th that he spoke with the rep and someone would be at Ryan to look at my vehicle by the end of the day or by the 29th. I text him back that Ryan tried contacting them 3 times that day and no one returned their call so far, but I did not hear back from Justin. The service writer for Ryan called me at the end of the day and told me that the inspector got back to her, and he would be there by 10am the next day. Finally the inspector kept his word, and everything was squared away with the warranty by the end of the day. The service writer said they were going to start working on my vehicle first thing today. I never heard anything from Justin after he told me the inspector would be there to look at my vehicle. I wanted to wait to get my vehicle back to write my final review to see if Corwin would ever reach out to me again because I feel like I at least deserved a follow up. So yes the sales manager did finally call me. He figured out what was going on with the inspector, and finally authorized a rental, but I was without a vehicle for 19 days. It took the inspector for the warranty 11 days to finally get to my vehicle when they told Ryan Chevrolet 2 days. Yes I get there may have been weather and it was also over Christmas, but they were suppose to be there before Christmas and all these things were happening for me too! This extended warranty, that when I bought the vehicle from Corwin was supposed to be so great and there to help me out, made me rethink ever purchasing extended warranty again! When this whole thing started, I was told by Dylan that if something major was wrong with my vehicle Corwin would come get my vehicle and fix it themselves. This is exactly what should have happened, and they should have given me a vehicle from the start to drive of theirs while my vehicle was getting fixed. Neither of those things happened. I get that they apologized and admitted they were in the wrong, but bottom line I had no vehicle for 19 days, no one from Corwin ever reached out to me from the 14th to the 22nd, and I doubt anyone would have reached out. It took me starting to get panicky that I wouldn't have a vehicle to travel with over Christmas to get someone to call me back. Getting ahold of someone was an all day ordeal, and I never did make it to Christmas. It took multiple calls and a bad review for someone to finally reach out. On the other had I saw what good customer service looked like. The dealership that I didn't buy my vehicle from gave me amazing customer service. They tracked down a rental for me, and gave me daily even sometimes hourly updates about what was going on with the extended warranty. I know what happened to me is something that doesn't happen all the time, but selling a car is the easy part. I believe what makes a dealership stand out from the rest is how they respond to things when they don't go as planned. Corwin responded horribly. If they would have just picked up the Tahoe, fixed it themselves and either gotten me into something else permanently or just a rental this would have all been taken care of in a much timely manner. All I can hope is that Corwin learns from the mistakes they made with me, and this doesn't happen to someone else. Buying a vehicle is supposed to be an exciting and fun experience and this turned into a nightmare. More
Adam is hands down the best salesman. I’m a single mom to six kids and I could not drive 90 miles to just do a test drive. Adam drove it for me and was completely honest about the drive. I’m a single mom to six kids and I could not drive 90 miles to just do a test drive. Adam drove it for me and was completely honest about the drive. He even helped get one part fixed before it was purchased because he noticed an issue. He is trustworthy. On the way to actually pick up the vehicle, my friend and I crashed on the interstate. We were safe and determined to still get to Fargo. So, I called Adam. HE SHOWED UP! He drove an hour and a half round trip to rescue me, my friend, and her two kids. He didn’t have to do that. He did it because he cares about his costumers. You will never go wrong trusting Adam with your next car purchase. I’ll never use anyone else! More
