While negotiating the I was ripped off on the purchase of this car. I worked with Chuck to find a car for my son and I trusted him implicitly. While negotiating the price of the car, I eventually got them down about $700.I asked if Chuck would be there the next day when I signed the papers, and he said he would. I needed him there as I wanted him to read over the contract with me-- my sight is very poor because of diabetes. Chuck was not there the next day. At the signing I told Scott I wasn't sure the figures were right-- I should have walked out then. I was reassured and signed, only to find out that the $700 I'd negotiated down was added back into the price. The reason? There was "no line drawn through the other prices" so the negotiation wasn't valid! They took full advantage of an old lady. I'd never negotiated for a used car before and I know nothing about lines thru prices. I just know we had a deal. Subsequently, I called Chuck several times but he never returned my calls, and on the phone I was verbally abused by the manager. He also refused to give me the owner's name, but I got that from the Secretary of State, and I will be writing him a letter. I should have been more cautious, but I had been doing business with this dealership ever since they came to Plymouth-- thousands of dollars in car repairs over the years. I also have a daughter who needs a car, and my 12 year old Ford needs to be replaced. They will never see any of my business again-- was losing all that worth cheating me out of $700?? Stay away from this dealership-- there's no integrity there--- just a bunch of sharks eager to take advantage of the unwary. More
