Mary Franco was awesome when we drove the car in on 01//17/2024. She helped us get checked in and gave us some of the details on how it worked. She’d informed us it would be about 5 days before it was diagnosed. I got one text saying 3 days later on 01/20/2024 saying my car still had a few cars in front of it before it got looked at. After that, the communication completely stopped. On 01/23/2024, I called to get a several times and requested an update on what was going on, but I was told I would get a call back before closing at 7p. No one called at all. Then, I called on 01/24/2024 at 7:30 because they open at 7:00, so I wanted them to have time to get there, but I was told again that someone will call me back. Someone texted me and told me they were submitting a claim for my extended warranty, which I provided before I came in on 01/17 and also on 01/17 just to make sure they had it. I told them multiple times I was in a rental car and wanted to confirm what the issue was and how long it would take as rental cars of course are very expensive. Patty called on 01/24 to confirm the warrant would cover the throttle but we need brakes and I told her no for now, that I would get them done separately because I’m already paying a lot for the rental car. I then asked how long would it take for the car to be ready, she told me it would take a day or 2 because they had the part in stock but someone has to get to it. I asked about a faster process but there were none. Finally the car was done on 1/26, but when Patty called and told me the car was ready, she stated we needed a new battery because the one we had was a bad battery. Myself and my husband asked how is that possible if we just bought the battery in October 2023. It hasn’t been 5 months since we purchased it. She stated oh that just happens, you know, batteries just go bad and then offered us one to buy, which was very expensive. I told her we had a warranty as we just purchased it, but were they sure it was the battery. She said that’s what the tech felt. I asked her did they run any test just to make sure it was only the battery, she stated again, that’s what the tech felt and didn’t check anything else because that’s a whole other thing. I was shocked because we dropped the car off with the battery working fine and to be told that “ Oh they just die” like they’re free was ridiculous. We picked up the car on 01/26 after waiting for another 20 minutes to figure out where our paperwork was to check us out. Patty said we would need a jump to get it started because the battery was bad. The guy came out to give us a jump and we asked him for the battery test. He said he didn’t save it so we had no way of showing we had a bad battery to use the warranty. We left Don Davis and got our battery tested somewhere else and the battery was fine, the battery cable was loose and was causing the car to shut off. The staff at Don Davis almost had me replace a battery after I’ve already spent so much money getting it repaired and a rental car. I feel like the service coming in, wasn’t the same service coming out and I think that was the most disappointing. With the extended warranty on the car I had the choice to go to any shop, but I choose Don Davis, even though Classic Jeep is closer to my home. I trusted Don Davis would take the best care of me and my vehicle, but I was disappointed. More

For the dealership- Not sure why you think it is acceptable to have a "policy" of telling a customer that your repair time for anything outside of basic service is 4-5 days. (Even with in-stock parts) As a dealer, you should be raising the bar, not lowering it. We set an appointment time for a REPAIR, not to just DROP OFF our vehicle for a repair. More
