Bill was a motivational speaker ahead of his time, referred to by Automotive News as an evangelist, table-pounder and spellbinder. But it was his deep understanding of customer wants and needs that guided him to success as General Sales Manager of Chevrolet and Vice President of General Motors, and it was his energetic demeanor and keen business savvy that enabled him to create innovative programs designed to motivate dealerships to break sales records. He even established the General Motors Dealers' Son School to guide the children of dealership staff as they prepare to inherit the family business. Bill's son, grandson and great-grandchildren all went on to graduate from this very school. With such inspiring leadership and a history full of automotive triumphs, Classic Honda was well-equipped for success when it was established in 1978.
