Outstanding customer service! My daughter’s 2017 Kia Sorento broke down on the 528 and had to be towed-in to City Kia. The truth has approx. 137K on it and it has been a money pit My daughter’s 2017 Kia Sorento broke down on the 528 and had to be towed-in to City Kia. The truth has approx. 137K on it and it has been a money pit. When she called me, my heart sank. A few hours later, I received a telephone call from Daniel Landeiro, a service advisor. He advised that the truck was exhibiting issues related to the Knock Sensor Detection System, a known issue with certain Kia models, but it would need to be fully diagnosed and he said he would call me the next day. I told my wife that this was it. The truck would not be found to be within the KSDS mileage/timeframe. I was pleasantly pleased to hear from Daniel the next morning advising me that the issue was fully covered by Kia and that a new engine would be ordered. I just needed to send our maintenance records to him to verify that we had kept up on oil changes. We sent everything over and Daniel submitted everything to Kia. IMHO, Daniel really went to bat for us, his customer. Yes, there were some costs, but not as much as a new engine. We were offered a loaner vehicle, but declined as it was not needed by us. It would have been a nicety rather than a necessity. Daniel kept me informed over the next several days and my daughter was able to pick it up 11 days later, fully repaired. I’d like to thank Daniel for his amazing customer service, the technician(s) that worked on my daughter’s truck, and the entire team at City Kia, in general, for making us feel welcome. Daniel is a true professional and I appreciated his responsiveness, especially as we were not his only customers. Daniel, if you ever see this, thank you, again, and we hope your manager realizes what a great service advisor he has. More
