Hello Jeff, Thank you for your review. To say we are dishonest is not true. We have communicated and apologized for any difficulties in your service visits. In regards to your recommended maintenance, it's explained in detail in your owner's manual, and we have explained it in person. We have looked at your service records. Per our records, we have been performing your scheduled maintenance per the manufacture's guidelines. When you were in last and stated that you felt you still should have another oil change, as a courtesy we gave you one more. With your previous mileage being documented at 27,669, Hyundai only gives complimentary maintenance up to 3 years or 36k miles, whichever comes first. With the complimentary oil change that puts you at the end of your complimentary maintenance. We have done our best to assist you, and we feel we have done the right thing to address your concerns. in response Dear Chapman A ... NOT TRUE ... AGAIN! Everybody makes "mistakes" . . . That is not the problem. Its the dishonesty after, which reveals the dishonesty before - and still you persist in your response. This is purely damage control on the public face because I've posted a review. Your response doesn't begin to express context or factual history regarding my bad experience with Chapman Hyndai. Your remarks are entirely platitude without substance and complete rubbish. Anybody's "best" - would be a reasonable effort that just falls short because of human or systemic limitation. AND - it would not include - EVER - deception. Your "best" falls way short - given you have NOT met either of the following two reasonble standards of effort: 1- Tell the truth (you have not - not even with your response) 2- Contact me after-the-fact (neither you or a dealership representatibve . . . have not. Had that been the case, I would haveoue likely not posted . . . or at least modified the review). 3- AND THEN YOU OUTRIGHT LIE - or your recordkeeper - saying you've contacted me after and apologized. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED. (Hyndai corporate followed up with me to see if your dealership has reach out after my last experience. The answer, not only regarding A Chapmen, but anyone at the dealership at all - is still a resounding "NEVER".) This is not about attacking Chapman Hyndai. This is about helping others around me the same way I would want to be helped. Unfortunately, and I sincerely wish it were not the case, my only experience with your dealership has been extremely challenging to navigate the repeated dishonest and disingenuous business practice - only exclamated by your personal response. You imply some personal connection with we (and your name), but you have never personally spoken to me - or made any attempt that I'm aware of... like ... ever To even contact me. I'm not hard to reach. You and I have never spoken ... ever. So - while you feign what you "know", it's quite obvious you haven't checked with me (and I think the reason is obvious) And ... especially after your response, I wouldn't believe what you say, much less the extreme doubt I feel towards the likely integrity of Chapman record keeping practices. I don't wildly accuse you of improper handling of how my service changes were scheduled. I simply echo, 100%, what Hyndai corporate told me. "Incorrectly handled". and "scheduling the service light to come on before manufacturer's recommended mileage". Additionally - when I first addressed the problem with your dealership service , the only offered explanation was "no idea why Hyndai does that" - meaning it was a corporate thing and nothj no to do with Chapman. ALL action you've ever taken to "respond" has been only reactive. The additional service visit you reference - is true - but ONLY after me arranging a 3-way call between corporate and your service dept and forcing the issue. For the record - on that 3 way call - after Hyndai Corporate told me, directly that the service light had been improperly handled by the sercing dealer (Chapman) - and while your service rep listened other the other line - volunteering NOTHING - NO PUSHBACK. It was way more like . . . "caught with my hand in the cooke jar". And now . . . your response makes it sound like - "lets just all pretend we don't even have a cookie jar" . . . On that 3-way call, I finally said "this is so frustrating. You're telling me it's the dealers fault, but they're right here" At that point Hyndai Corporate responded "I know - I keep waiting for them to speak up and say something" Your dealership - or any employee I've ever worked, has NEVER taken a proactive measure to remedy any of my concerns. Your own response, is so brazenly misleading, and so openly pushes non-factual history .... where I thought I couldn't have been more shocked ... it tutns out I am. THE ONLY - benefit of any doubt I can extend, is maybe you honestly believe that 2 true details in a statement over-rule the an 3rd false detail, and so it becomes truth through some twisted distortion if logic. It's not much benefit to the dark and considerable doubt, but the most I can factually offer. Shame on you Chapman Hyundai. Shame on you! If your mother isn't embarrassed, she should be.

Hello Scott, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with your recent service visit. Chapman Hyundai of Scottsdale responsibility is to inform you of the repairs needed and quote those repairs for parts and labor. We keep our pricing competitive with other local dealerships. The cost of supplies and fees are part of the pricing that all shops assess. Diagnostic fees are also assessed by shops. Those fees are included into the quoted price of repairs when you decide to go forward with repairs. This is explained at the time of scheduling and when you drop off your vehicle. It is explained that customers will receive a text message with a link to see recommendations regarding your vehicle. This is for you to approve or decline repairs. Documentation of recommendations and pictures/video is very transparent as is the documentation of fees that are assessed. We have found this process to work for individuals that are busy and want quick and easy communication. We are always more than willing to go over details of repairs when asked.
