Seller beware! Sold my 2020 745e Xdrive to dealership and was issued a check. I go to the bank to deposit the check which just happens to be the same bank of the de Sold my 2020 745e Xdrive to dealership and was issued a check. I go to the bank to deposit the check which just happens to be the same bank of the dealer and issuing bank. Bank tells me check can not be deposited because a system in place where the dealer has to send a message to the bank to pay the check. I call the dealer to ask for help and to make sure the check is released so I can deposit but am told that if I don't like it I can come back and pickup my car..... I ask the person I'm dealing with to have a GM call me. GM calls and tells me no one in the history of the dealership has picked up a check and went to the bank to deposit it... You can imagine my disbelief on the line... I tell the GM I'm having a hard time believing what he just said but he's adamant about the statement he made. I tell him that regardless of past history, I should have been notified If I was not able to deposit the check that day and beyond that, since I sold my car and they now own it, I should have a payment in hand that I can cash or deposit in any way shape or form. After struggling to convey my message to an executive of a large car dealership due to his limited intelligence, I decide to compose an e-mail to him and his team involved to document the misfortune. Of course receive zero response. Luckily I was able to deposit the check the next day but the lack of professionalism at this establishment can win multiple Oscars. Of course I did file a formal complaint with BMW NA and sent them all the details of our verbal and written communication. More
