I am giving this review because I am a disabled Woman who was clearly done wrong. Because of my disability I cannot get out to often because of the pain I have to live with due to my disability. The day my h was clearly done wrong. Because of my disability I cannot get out to often because of the pain I have to live with due to my disability. The day my husband and I stopped by this dealership we had just left my pain specialist office and were heading home so we stopped there to look at their camry toyota cars, only because they had been advertising on NATIONAL TELEVISION that they were having their big CLEARANCE SALE. We talked to Sean Compton, he seamed to be a nice young man with good morals and even stated to us that we were the nicest couple he had delt with. That kinda alarmed me but thought we would give this young man a chance and I told him when we came back I would make sure to ask for him so he would be the one to get the commission. We were looking for a used camry because the last time I bought a brand new 2000 bonneville xle I quickly learned how much a brand new car drops in value when you drive it off the lot. Sean was going in to get the keys for us to drive it and I ask him to get the price they were asking for it. He came out with the keys and told us they were asking $26,000 I thought that was probably a little to high since the car had almost 20,000 miles on it and had several dents and also interior problems with the leather. He gave us the website to go and look up the price to see what the car was worth. Well it did come up $26,000 but that was for perfect condition, which this car was not. We told him we would come back and took his card. The dealership called us to set up an appt with them to come in and negotiate the price. The day the appt was due I could not get out because of pain. I sent my husband there just to talk about the price of the car because my bonneville was my car not my husbands and it was up to me to give the aggreement on the final price, his name was not on my tital. Well to my husbands surprise a man named Jim Verini came out and said he would be handling the negotiating and said he was Sean's boss. My husband thought that was odd but went ahead and went in. My husband called me on the phone to let me know what was being said and offered, Jim Verini would not give my husband a price because I kept asking my husband to ask him for the price, and he kept saying we're not negotiating the price we are negotiating the payment terms. Tell me what idiot thinks anyone is going to go to a dealership to negotiate a payment since we all know that the price of the car determines the payment you will be paying. I ask that man 7 times for the price and said I would not negotiate anything until I knew what they were charging for the car. Well my husband is not the smartest cookie on the block when it comes to numbers but he works hard and had been working 7 days a week for quite some time and was tired, but he is a very kind hearted man as well as a hard worker that never misses work... I used to date a man who was a car salesman years ago and he let me know the way they try and deceive people. Well Jim Verini quickly learned who was going to be making the descision on the car because my husband had already told him that the only reason I wasn't there was because I was disabled and was in severe pain and couldn't make it out that day so he was there on my behalf to negotiate the price with me on the phone. After asking him 7 times and not getting a straight answer I told my husband that he was nothing but a liar and to get up and walk out because I wanted to check with some other dealerships and my husband told Jim Verini that I wanted to check with other delearships before making my decision. My husband was already getting up to walk out when we hung up. After we hung up Jim Verini quickly started talking that fast talk they do and told my husband hang on and I'll see if I can't get you a good deal. The next thing I know my husband came pulling up in the dang car and had signed a contract with them because he truly thought he was getting it for 26,000 but what they wasn't telling him, that wasn't counting my car trade in which I got 3,000 for and an additional 1,000 down and he CONVINCED MY HUSBAND THAT HE COULD ADD MY NAME TO THE TITLE WHEN HE TOOK THE PAPER WORK TO THE BMV. So they added my total down payment to the car price and it came almost to 30,000 so they basicly stole my money I was putting down. WOW they are truly deceivers and I was truly taken advantage of because of being disabled and wouldn't trust them with my dog. That man knew that if he let my husband walk out of that place they would have never seen our faces again, because he knew I was the descision maker when it came to our finances and knew I wasn't going to fall for his lies. They forced my hand to sign over my tital to them because they had my husband sign a paper stating he would be bringing back MY TITAL with my SIGNATURE and he brought home that paper because I had to sign it. What they don't know is that they had another employee there who was my son's grandfather (Jim Cox), and I sent my son to talk to his grandfather and got some additional info they don't know about. Unfortunately Mr Cox has just recently passed which was very sad for my son and I because I had a good relationship with my ex-enlaws. I sent my husband back there to talk to the manager, but I'm not convinced he was a manager because he gave his card to my husband and it says nothing about being a manager and his name is Josh Robinson, but the other cards we got from the other people clearly states their position so it makes me wonder if he wasn't just another employee that worked in their office like my son's grandfather did. Well I called 3 days ago and left a message to the owner (Bob Piehl) and have not received a call back. So at this time I have no other option but to contact the ACLU and plan on taking this to court. I will make it my life journey to disclose them for their fraudulent activity's. No one should ever trust this dealership. They just recently changed their name and I wonder if thats why they don't have any other reviews???? I do know that before they changed their name they fired almost 30 employees, gotta make you wonder! I would recomment going to the GMC dealership off of 465 and post rd because when I bought my bonneville they did a very good job negotiating the price with me and even 3 days later I called the manager back and told him after thinking about it I didn't feel they gave me their best deal so he told me to come back in and took another 1,000 off the price of the bonneville. By the way my bonneville was loaded with upgrades and had a much better body style. Some BIG CLEARANCE SALE TOYOTA WAS HAVING, HUH? I never heard of a clearance sale where you end up paying more than what something is worth... Josh Robinson who talked to my husband and told him he was the manager told my husband that it was to late because he already signed the contract. I would have never even thought about stopping there had toyota not been advertising on NATIONAL TV that they were having their big CLEARANCE SALE! This has caused a lot of problems in my marriage, because I rimmed my husband for being so dang stupid, and it has also affected my health because my blood pressure is sailing through the roof and I'm having severe migrains every day and I have not let my husband forget it. I think about this each and everyday! He said when Jim Verini took him back to see the financial guy, that he went over the paper work so fast he couldn't even keep up with what he was saying, and when he was finished he looked up and ask the financial guy, (I thought I was getting this for 26,000) and the guy pointed to the number that showed that amount but he did not explain to my husband that was the price after they took off the $4,000 dollars and again in my husbands head, he was thinking that because Jim Verini had already convinced him that he could add my name to the title at the BMV, which when he got home and told me that I went off on him like a mad woman... because I used to work for the BMV and knew you could not add a name to the title after it had already been signed. My husband is a very laid back man with very good morals and they spotted him a mile away. I would have never let him go over there that day had I known that they were going to lie to him and have him go ahead and sign papers. Even though I am disabled I do get a check every month because I worked a long time before I started having problems with my back and then found out that I had a disease in my spine called (degenerative disk disease) and had to have 2 disks taken out of my neck with bank bone put back in along with a metal plate and have had other surgery's since then. The reason I couldn't get over there that day was because I had reconstructive foot surgery almost 2 years ago and something went bad and I cannot hardly walk on the foot when it is really inflamed and very painful and am now seeing another foot doctor and having a lot of test done. My bonneville was my car and I really loved it, I already had it when my husband and I got married and back in 2000 when the economy was doing a lot better I got a special interest rate from GMC which is hard to do because you have to have almost perfect credit for them to give you one. My husband was only there representing me just to negotiate the price, they were supposed to set up another appt for me to come in and sign the papers because it was my car being traded in and my husband had no authority or permission to sign anything on the behalf of trading property that did not belong to him! If they ever do make this right I will gladly get back on here and let everyone know that they did make it right! My son shares an apartment with a room mate because of expenses sense he is going to school, his room mate bought a BRAND NEW 2012 camry toyota sport car, same color as mine - black and silver and paid $18,000, this clearly shows how much money they made off of doing a disabled woman wrong. Of course he went to a different dealership..... More
