Why make appointments when they're clearly disregarded? I made an appointment for Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 8:30 am via the Internet. I subsequently received a phone call from someone named Matt asking if I made an appointment for Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 8:30 am via the Internet. I subsequently received a phone call from someone named Matt asking if I could pick another day because that time slot had a lot of appointments already scheduled. Not only that, he asked me if I just wanted to trade my car in rather than just keep throwing money at the problem. I wanted my car serviced, not to be hounded by a salesperson. If I was interested in trading in my car, I would have come to the car lot or indicated such on my appointment intake form. Nonetheless, I agreed to change my appointment to Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 8:30 am. Despite this change I continued to receive email notifications that my appointment was on Wednesday, so I was unsure of when to actually take my car to get it serviced. I finally received confirmation that my appointment was on Thursday, but the email said 9:00 am and not 8:30 am like I had agreed. Despite the time difference, I operated under the assumption that my appointment was at 8:30 and not 9:00. I dropped my car off at the dealership with Mary at 8:30 and was told that they would call me to let me know about what was going on with my car. After not receiving a phone call by 12:00 pm, I waited to call the dealership at 1:00 pm, because of the lunch hour. When I called, I'm not sure who I talked to, but they indicated that the person who I needed to talk to was still at lunch. She indicated that she would take a message and give it to the person that I needed to talk to. I waited until 3:15 pm and received no phone call, so I called back. I talked to Mary and she told me that my car had not even been looked at or put on the computer yet even though I had an appointment at 8:30. She told me that the guy was just about done with one car and that mine was next on the list. I asked her how long it would take, because if it was just an hour or so, I'd have been fine to wait. She responded with, "It could take a while. He's planning on working late tonight. Are you willing to leave your car overnight?" Mary and the dealership were well aware that I did not live in Columbus. Nor was I ever informed that an 8:30 am appointment would possibly take all day and all night before it was even looked at. I asked if I could just pick up my car because there was no way for me to be able to get to work if I had left it overnight. I picked up my car and left. Mary apologized and blamed it on the fact that one car took a long time and backed everything up because all the technicians worked on one car. I appreciate her apology, but that kind of service is unacceptable and disrespectful. Not once was I called to tell me that there was a delay in looking at my car. Not only that but they never called me back when I left a message asking about an update on what was going on with my car. Why would you set up an appointment just for it to not be acknowledged or respected? I get having a delay, but to have a seven (7) hour delay with no phone call to the owner who lives out of town is absurd and completely unsatisfactory. I will never go back to Carl Hogan and will tell everyone who asks this story in order to dissuade them from using this dealership for service or buying a car. The only good thing about the whole ordeal is that I wasn't charged for them babysitting my car for seven (7) hours. More

I've had my jeep 6 months and i have had it in the service dept 6 times already for the same problem (My jeep shows a message that my key fob has left the vehicle and another message about the memory system). I sent a picture of the message to them today and I was told by the general I didn't need to send the picture because he believed there was a problem but in the next sentence he stated there wasn't a problem they could find. They say they can't find the problem nor can they fix it because they can't find the problem. I spoke with the general manager today and he stated that when the problem occurs AGAIN bring it back! After 6 trips and you can't figure it out there's issues! The only good thing I can say about this place is I did receive a loaner car for 2 of the 6 times. I'm very disappointed in this dealership! I will never buy another vehicle from this dealership nor will I ever recommend it! It so frustrating to spend as much money as I have on a vehicle and it have problems. More

I dropped off a 1996 Cadillac on 09/16/2015 that was needing an AC blower motor and received an outrageous quote for $1,160.00 for parts and labor to do the work. I informed an employee named, Dottie Hord that the quote was way to high for the requested work and that I would be picking up the car on Friday morning 9/17/15. She not once informed me when I dropped the car off that there would be a 10th of the quote charged and she informed me that I would have to pay them $112.00 just for (looking) at it. They informed me that the window motor and the seat warmer parts had been discontinued and that they could no longer get the parts. I did a search on eBay and purchased the AC Blower motor myself for $116.00 and have someone else lined up to install it for not much more that Carl Hogan has charged me just for (Looking at the vehicle). Which I highly doubt they even looked at. Dotty informed me that they charge $109.00 per hour labor in their service department. So with that said I'm guessing a tire balance, rotation and oil change would cost around $112.00 plus the services. I would recommend going elsewhere with all of your repair work and not wasting your valuable time in going to this place. More
I found a great deal on a used truck @ Carl Hogan. I went in on a Friday which was a holiday -we settled on a price which included my trade-in. My loan company was closed for the holiday. I intialed the paperwork and I told them I will be back Monday- they gave sheet with info to take to my loan co. Then they called me Sat to say someone was looking @ truck then said I need to put down deposit then called later and said see u Monday no deposit needed. Then another salesman called later Sat and said they sold it. What a load of cramp. Im calling Better Business Bureau on Monday. More
THIS WAS MY SECOND EXPERIENCE BUYING FROM CARL HOGAN. FIRST TIME I BOUGHT A USED CAR. MY EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT. WHEN I GOT READY TO BUY MY NEW DODGE CHARGER, I WENT BACK TO CARL HOGAN. DEWAYNE MET M FIRST TIME I BOUGHT A USED CAR. MY EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT. WHEN I GOT READY TO BUY MY NEW DODGE CHARGER, I WENT BACK TO CARL HOGAN. DEWAYNE MET ME AT THE CARS. I EXPLAINED WHICH CAR I WAS LOOKING FOR BUT WE COULD NOT FIND IT. I WAS DISSAPOINTED UNTIL DEWAYNE TOLD ME HE COULD GET ME THE EXACT SAME CAR IN A FEW DAYS. HE THEN CALLED ME THE NEXT MORNING TO TELL ME THE CAR I WANTED WAS STILL ON THE LOT. A FEW HOURS LATER, I OWNED MY CAR. I actually went to look at a used vehicle. The sales guy was terrible and never even offered to let me drive it. I was waiting for my husband to show up to look at the car too (took about 5 minutes) and th was terrible and never even offered to let me drive it. Another sales guy came out (much nicer than the first), but then I was scolded by the original sales guy because you have to stick with the same one. Even though he went back inside and left me out there alone. I ended up deciding I wanted to buy one of the new cars there. I was also never offered to drive this one. I went to another dealership, which let me take one of their cars with me for the day to try it out. Since they did not have exactly what I wanted, I contacted Carl Hogan again. Same sales guy was not helpful or interested in me at all. He wouldn't tell me the amount of a discount I knew I was elgible for. I went back to the other dealer and had them order me the vehicle I wanted. I don't know how service is at Carl Hogan, but if it's anything like sales, don't waste your time using them. Make the drive to West Point. They come and pick your vehicle up and leave you something to drive. I don't think Carl Hogan makes their money on average everyday people walking on the lot to find a new car. They just don't seem to care if you buy from them or not. More
My wife and I drove in to Carl Hogan Auto Group window shopping. We were greeted by Ray Atkinson, a super nice gentleman. He listened to our desire in a new-used vehicle and immediately guided us to a FAN shopping. We were greeted by Ray Atkinson, a super nice gentleman. He listened to our desire in a new-used vehicle and immediately guided us to a FANTASTIC deal on the vehicle we wanted at the price we could afford. We will definately give Ray the opportunity to get our business again in the future. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give Ray a absolute 10 and recommend him to anyone. About a mile down the road from the dealership, the service engine light came on and will not go off. I don't have time for 50 trips to get this corrected. It was a minor repair and some routine service and now I guess they want to make some more money off me just to turn the light off. Forget that because I will never deal with that dealership again. I hesitate to answer why, but here it goes. This dealership goes out of it's way to threaten it's customers if they make any waves about service.
