This dealership started off by being very nice and friendly, but then turned into a nightmare. Let me also add that the staff here is different from a month ago from when I originally bought the car I friendly, but then turned into a nightmare. Let me also add that the staff here is different from a month ago from when I originally bought the car I wanted, seriously more than half the employees are gone and replaced even the managers, makes me wonder what was going on to fire so many assiocaites. Let me start by saying that their "certified" cars didn't even include floor mats. The tires were worn out as well. Scratches? Sure that's common with used cars however no mats and completely worn out tires? Rediculous. Problems occurred with this place two weeks after my purchase, the VIN number was wrong, sure it happens but I didn't get a call until almost 3 weeks later, once they found out I got calls from the new employees, so the people I had talked to before were all fired. Sales manager, finance manager, and even the sales associate who picked the car out with me. The associate Rob automatically started harassing me telling me I need to come in the same day regardless that I have work and school. I told him that I'm busy during the week with full time work and being a full time student it isn't the most flexible schedule. He made it seem as if I stole the car and just wanted to have a free car. A problem that THEY made, ends up being my fault and I'm treated like a criminal. I understand I needed to resign that's not a problem I told him when I was free yet I got five phone calls every day. They came and harassed my manager at work "looking" for me. After I had told him I could come in the weekend coming up only 2-days. I seriously have never experienced anything like this. This associate Rob who harassed me, also said he was a sales manager, later on I find out hes just a normal sales associate so not only am I getting harassed, I also got lied too. I tried to speak to a general manager and they wouldn't let me talk to him, Rob was used as a puppet to act as a manager, something he was not qualified for so that the general manager wouldn't have to get notified. I returned the car and refused to do any business with them any further. I'm contacting Mazda about this issue as well. I'm glad others have had a better experience with these people, I feel like as if almost these other reviews are from the staff at this dealership because of how bad my experience was. I wish I could have had the same experience as some of these people claim. Please beware when buying use Mazda cars from these people. More
My buying experience at Cardinale Way Mazda was exceptional and I highly recommend this dealership (Mark Exposito and team) to potential buyers searching for a transportation solution. The reas exceptional and I highly recommend this dealership (Mark Exposito and team) to potential buyers searching for a transportation solution. The reason for my recommendation is simple: Mark Exposito & crew listened carefully to my situation (new parent –needing safe, reliable transportation for baby), showed me options on the lot, and then facilitated a trade and financing. I am so satisfied with my purchase at Cardinale Way – that I am encouraging my mother to visit and explore opportunities for her next vehicle….she is downsizing from Suburban to smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicle. Below is a more detailed review of my purchase…read on only if you have a minute or two to learn about how and why I am so satisfied. The initial step was for Mark to help me to prioritize the many factors involved in car buying: specific transportation need, purchase budget, expected travel patterns, MPG preference, and a few other aspects I didn’t think of at the time, nor can I remember now. We spent about 45 minutes on the phone and he offered to personally help me when I came to the lot, or if he was not available – another of his team would take care of me. I managed to get time on the weekend – phoned Mark and he advised that another member of his team would help me evaluate the vehicles we identified. Mark reassured me that he debriefed Mike Arias about the priority of factors we had discussed and that I could trust him. If there was any hesitation on my part, Mark asked me to call his mobile. When I arrived on a Saturday afternoon – I found Mike and he asked how I wanted to evaluate each vehicle. I preferred to look over each car by myself, and so he showed me each vehicle and let me take as much time as needed to kick tires etc. Before I went for a test drive – he asked if I have any questions. I didn’t have any at that time, but following the drive, I did and he answered questions in a straight forward manner. I decided on two vehicles and explained my need for a trade/financing. Mike had to look into the details of my vehicle for trade and ability to secure financing…it took him a while and during that time he asked me to sit with Omar. Through my conversation with Omar – I learned even more about the vehicle I was hoping to buy and Omar helped me by calling David in service that performed the trade-in maintenance. Both Omar and David showed me the work that was performed on the vehicle and when I had further questions – they asked another staff member who drives the same make/model for their opinion. I felt very comfortable that I was getting important decision-making information. I When Mike returned from his investigation-we had a conversation about the value of my trade in. This might have been a deal-breaker, but Mike was fair in explaining his position and we met in the middle with respect to the value of my trade in. Financing the vehicle was the responsibility of Anthony, who was straight forward and patient as he explained how the finances were evaluated and established. I knew to ask about some aspects of finance, but Anthony pointed out a few other aspects and I feel as though I got a good deal vis a vis my credit rating. So – in the end, I drove home in a vehicle that met my needs, budget and was the type of vehicle I had originally sought. One of the interesting facts I discovered in my conversations with Mike, Omar, David and Anthony – was that they had each worked with Mark Exposito at a previous dealership and had moved to this new dealership when Mark made his move. To me, this speaks highly to Mark’s leadership and ability to establish a cohesive team to meet the needs of individual buyers – just like myself. Post note – I had a few questions after I got home – Mark directed me to the service dept where David and John helped me again. More
This is one of the friendliest car dealerships I have visited in a while. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and did not pressure us into buying anything. Mazda 6 is one of the best performing cars I have driven. I Going to the Cardinale Way Mazda in Peoria Az, was a great choice. My intent was to drive a Mazda for the first time to see if I would like it..... I had no intent to buy the car, but after having the best experience I have ever had at a dealership, it was a no brainer . The staff was family oriented and just great to work with. Daisha was awesome to work with, she was our sales person. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and made sure our 5 year old son was comfortable. She made sure we found exactly what we wanted. Unlike most sale people who try to sell you something that benefits them and their pockets. Doug was great guy who also helped and took the time to speak with us and befriend us. And we can't forget about Armando who also befriended us and took the time to make us feel good. Good luck to Armando's son and his baseball career. So I encourage you guys to stop by and say hi and look at some great cars. I'm sure they would be more then happy to take the time and befriend you, and make you feel like the Cardinale Way Mazda family. More
As far as the used car-buying experience goes, this was relatively painless. I picked this place because of the reviews, and it turns out they don't pay their salesmen on commission, which makes a big diff relatively painless. I picked this place because of the reviews, and it turns out they don't pay their salesmen on commission, which makes a big difference. I worked with Bob, who was very friendly and personable. I already knew which car I wanted so there wasn't a lot of haggling and I only test drove one car, so it was a pretty simple process. They let me take the car out by myself which was helpful. The F&I department was nice - I worked with Anthony, who wasn't pushy at all when we declined the extra warranty, which I appreciated. My only issue was when I came back with the car after taking it out by myself, Bob wasn't there and so I ended up standing in the middle of the sales floor for about 10 minutes before he came back (I didn't want to miss him), and not one other salesperson acknowledged me or asked if I needed anything. It was a little awkward. I would recommend this dealership to a friend. It's low pressure, friendly, and the prices are good. More
Let me start off by saying; I am an American Soldier, so in short, Im very direct and to the point. Sometimes this type of attitude isnt well received. In the past year we have bought (3) Mazdas from this in short, Im very direct and to the point. Sometimes this type of attitude isnt well received. In the past year we have bought (3) Mazdas from this dealership. I read other reviews which referred to issues with both the service dept. and the upper management. I also agree with almost all of the customers concerns. Heres my side of the story: In September of 2012 I bought (2) Mazda 3's, and for various reasons had to return due to little issues discovered after purchase.... The treatment we received and the negative approach to our issues left us with a sour feeling about the dealership and our family decided we would take our business elsewhere which we had done. I have had a rattle in the drivers door of my Mazda 3 for a few weeks and it drove me crazy, however, I was willing to deal with it , instead of taking it back to the dealership; then last Friday; Strictly by coincidence ' the dealership offered me a free oil change to bring the car in... so the timing seemed right to take it in to have it checked out... Im not going to sugar coat this, after three hours I was told that they could not find where the rattle was or what was causing it. Even though we were easily able to duplicate it, you see the rattle only happens when the stereo is turned up and the "Bass is kickin" The service staff told me that nothing could be done and they would check into it to see if anyone else has had this issue.... Basically I felt I was blown off by service staff and Service Manager who even told me he didnt want to hear the noise, I received my invoice and as I was walking back to my car discouraged and again vowing to never return, my wife encouraged me to take my isssue to the General Manager " Mark Exposito" , and I am certaining glad I did.... Mr. Exposito was polite professional and we immediately got a sense that our concerns would be dealt with. We showed him the issues with the car and he basically demanded that we leave the car and he would make it right. He immediately offered us a new car to drive (2014 Mazda 6) which we feel in love with in only a few miles... "Mazda nailed this one". In all my years of purchasing cars I have never met a GM like Mark Exposito, this man single handedly won us back as a customer... Cardinale Way of Peoria is in need of serious overhaul and it is our belief that this man will make it happen. Like i mentioned we like the Mazda 6 so much , we set out to buy one... We decided to give them another chance to earn our business and I can tell you one thing about our sales asscociate Carlo's Rivas, He rocks, he is geniune, and was willing to do whatever it took to satisy our requirements to buy a new car. Leave to us to pick the only car we couldnt afford and a color that no dealer in the valley had or was willing to give up....Well Mark Exposito and Carlos Rivas wasnt having it, they not only found the car we wanted , they upgraded us to the best available model for almost the same price. If you know me or your still reading this... I have no problem comunicating but honestly; I was speachless as was my wife...we still cant believe the lengths these gentlemen went to make this happen for use....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! We absolutely exstatic with our new Mazda 6 Grand Touring..... Well now back to my Mazda 3, Mark Exposito is handling the service on it and I am confident it will get handled professionally and in a timely manner, I certainly want to thank whom ever it was for having the insight to hire Mark and Carlos.... They have what it takes to turn that dealership around and make it a pleasure to do business with them on a regular basis.... Thanks you all again for your efforts..... Yes! I would recommend this dealership Mainly because i believe in Mark Exposito and his sales staff will take good care of you ... More

Ill-advised and unrealistic sales goals set by bean counters with no responsibility for the company's success led to over pressuring of the sales force by an" inverted triangle" of upper and upper, upper management in proportion to the ones who actually made the future successes possible: the sales force. The scene was not unlike a General telling his soldiers that their pay was cut...just before a major battle. These same bean counters would then track the losses to the last penny. I remember a similar situation when the war in Viet Nam was run by the three piece suit guys in Washington, DC. CW is working hard to reverse that image with customer friendly sales and leadership. The "bottom feeders" that used to prowl the sales floor have largely disappeared, replaced by sales personnel with more product knowledge, more decision making powers, less pressure, and a LOT less hype. They are beginning to realize that today's customers have done a lot of research before they came into the store. After all, we don't barter with Wal-Mart over the price of a watermelon, Do we? Enter Carlos Riva, a young sales rep with LISTENING and sales skills far beyond his years. His perceptive, non-confronting questions helped us decide just which type of vehicle best suited our needs. Carlos then easily related the pros and cons of each model as it related to our personal situation, all without having to "read the book." We were most impressed with his product knowledge! He then worked tirelessly to achieve the perfect balance so necessary to a dealership's future: Keep the doors open, keep a positive balance in our checkbook, and keep the customer happy. Keep this guy, no matter what! we have dealt with Zenus Pridgen, service manager, for over 4 years: positive, friendly, and able to keep his cool even in the midst of the wildest customer frenzy. He doesn't make promises he can't keep, and he does relentlessly pursue solutions which will the same results as Carlos. Good job, guys! GBU Bruce 'n' Diane Officer Peoria, AZ More
