I dropped my car off for 2 recalls and was told 3-4 days. Well, 2 1/2 weeks later I go to pick it up and it wouldn't even start!! So I told them, "it was running fine when I dropped it off. Never had one is Well, 2 1/2 weeks later I go to pick it up and it wouldn't even start!! So I told them, "it was running fine when I dropped it off. Never had one issue with it starting!" I left it there and said call me when it's ready. I called for weeks trying to reach a manager or someone that could help me. NO RESPONSE I sent emails and left messages. NO RESPONSE! Then I get a letter stating Capitol Chevrolet had my car towed off!! They couldn't even call me to at least tell me they wouldn't fix their mistake!! Im a single mother of 3 and that was our ONLY transportation. There was no way I could afford to pay what the tow company was asking!! I recently used every penny I had to buy a used car for $2500. Have had to pay and borrow over $2000 to keep it going!! Putting me in credit card debt. Now I can't even finance a car!! PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THE SERVICE DEPT. It's obvious they are not mechanically trained!! PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!! Not one person ever reached out to me regarding my car. Rather they wanted to fix it or not... that was MY CAR and I had a right to be notified!! They are not professional. They do not conduct business honestly!! THEY ARE COWARDS AND RIP OFF !!! More
If you are looking for a new Chevrolet, do not patronize Capitol Chevrolet. For my truck transaction, the finance department lied about the financing offers I received. I learned this when I started rec Capitol Chevrolet. For my truck transaction, the finance department lied about the financing offers I received. I learned this when I started receiving letters from various banks in the mail telling me the terms they had extended to me through Capitol Chevrolet. Their lies cost me money over the life of the loan because they lied about the best rate I received, presumably to get a higher rip from the bank that I ultimately went with. Their finance department also tried to insist I had not made my down payment, and I literally had to whip out the receipt from this very dealership to show them—this is how poorly they even keep track of in progress transactions. Aside from a very skeezy finance department, I had to call three times to get copies of my all my paperwork because they didn’t provide it the day of the sale. As for after purchase service, their service department never returns calls, and their service prices are about 25-30 percent higher than dealers in the surrounding suburbs and rural areas. Save yourself the difficulty, dysfunction, and drama and go somewhere else to make your Chevrolet purchase. More

The service department is very good. Mercedez in particular is great and worked hard to help me. She would be a reason to come back for service. What I did not like is the numerous calls and text from sales trying to hook me into a pressured conversation about buying my truck. This "I have important information to share with you from my manager" is nothing but a ploy. I told the first person I wasn't interested last week. While waiting on my truck to be finished I received 3 more calls and a text...same ploy. It also bothered me that caller ID did not show the dealership, but a name or a number only. Honestly, I do not want to trade my truck at this time. Thank you More
