I contacted Bill Dodge Nissan about two weeks before I bought my Black SR Premium. I started with calling in and talking with wonderfully knowledgeable and new employee, Claire, who told me about availabi bought my Black SR Premium. I started with calling in and talking with wonderfully knowledgeable and new employee, Claire, who told me about availability of various cars. While I started out thinking that I wanted a KIA or a Hyundai, due to believing that was the price point that I could only afford, she did give me that information but also to Nissan since there were more available Nissans due to, possibly, better planning than the other two brands. I e-mailed with her once and then got an e-mail from Todd Hilton. Todd and I e-mailed back and forth for a couple days to figure out that my “Dream Sentra” has a sunroof anD that I COULD afford the lease! We met with him once. He was due to leave work at 5:00 but stayed until about 7:00. There was a black with the tan interior available at another Maine dealer that he could swap with. At the last moment, I discovered that Rosewood would be my “Dream Color,” So Todd tried numerous times to contact a bigger New Hampshire dealer about it for three days. On the third day, someone finally got back to him and said that they sold it. I was not impressed that the dealership NH dealership could not even reply to a Todd to say, “If we don’t sell it within the next three days, we will swap it.” So, the dirt showing black car is mine. Again, we could not get in to the dealership until late, 6:00, last night. So Stephen had to stay late, but he happily did so. We easily got all the lease contracts signed, mostly on a tablet, which was clean and had a stylus to sign everything, rather than a finger, which my boyfriend had to use when he bought his Toyota Tacoma the year and a half before. He mentioned the ease of using the stylus and was impressed. Sometimes, it is just the little things that mean a better impression. I was disappointed that I was told by Stephen that I HAD to buy the wheel locks that I REALLY did not at all want, especially for the extra $99.00. He presented it as a non-negotiable add-on. When we had just drove up with my trade-in 2002 Rav 4, Shawn came out to greet us. As we were about to leave, he mentioned that there were blankets or something in the back seat of the Rav, but he left it for us to get. It was our dog seat for our six pound Havanese! We need that! Nice catch, Shawn! Lastily, we met with so helpful Todd to sign just a few more things on a tablet and he told us not to panic that my first payment will be due soon, but I may not get any mail from Nissan until possibly two days prior. (Can something be done about that, so that corporate Nissan continues the impressive professionalism that the dealership made?) Todd gave me the keys and he went over the camera and how to easily keep them clean. Then, he explained the steering wheel, the radio, even showing me how to program the radio. He explained the dashboard features, with blind spot notifications and other nifty things. Todd reminded me again that if I needed anything, anything at all, in the next three years, I should call him. It was so nice to feel like that I drove off, they made the sale, and I was all on my own. At 8:00, again beyond everyone’s work day, all three gentlemen, Todd, Stephen and Shawn, said good-bye and I drove off to my happy three years with my new Nissan. Thank you, Nissan and Bill Dodge Nissan of Saco, Maine! More
