Chris, one of their sales associates should be fired. He was very rude to me when he explained the services performed on my car. He yelled at me. This dealership is staffed with men and women who know lots about Volvo vehicles. When I picked up my Volvo after the tailgate lift pistons were replaced, it had been washed on the outside and vacuumed on lots about Volvo vehicles. The friendliness of the staff is excellent, although I did not receive an itemized bill for the work. I am concerned, however, about the quality of the car. With one exception the only car we've owned did not receive an itemized bill for the work. I am concerned, however, about the quality of the car. With one exception the only car we've owned since 1972 has been Volvo. With this car, whenever we have the car serviced, there always seem to be another problem that is found. In this case it turned out to be an oil leak. We've never had an oil problem in almost 50 years of Volvo ownership, even with some of the cars having being used for more than 150,000 miles. Our current car has only 75,000 miles of use. It makes us have second thoughts about buying a Volvo again - lower quality and very expensive repairs. More
Radio, hands-free calls, and navigation stopped working when our Volvo on-call subscription expired. Service said the only way to repair was to replace a faulty tuner. Turns out we could have corrected the when our Volvo on-call subscription expired. Service said the only way to repair was to replace a faulty tuner. Turns out we could have corrected the issue with $20 part (sold by Volvo!) to complete the MOST loop. The $800 "tuner" they installed was actually only for Sirus radio, which we have never and will never use. We spoke with a manager and they said they would look into why other options weren't offered, but they haven't called back in several days. More
My service experience was very good, in that (i) I was able to sit, plug in my laptop, get online easily, and be productive; (ii) I received two updates from my service adviser while I was waiting, which able to sit, plug in my laptop, get online easily, and be productive; (ii) I received two updates from my service adviser while I was waiting, which helped me budget my time appropriately; and (iii) I was told the service technician saw something wonky with my front bakes and would fix the issue, since the car (including the brakes) was still under warranty.
