From the moment I walked into Berlin City Motors I was treated with respect and "over the top" friendly service. My salesperson was Ed Giroux, but I also dealt with Eric Mendoza. It is obvious that the members of the Berlin City team are held to high standards as each member that I crossed paths with carried themselves with the same level of professionalism and friendliness. I was extremely pleased with Ed. He showed a tremendous amount of patience and was genuinely concerned with my car purchase. I have already recommended Berlin City Motors to my neighbors and will continue to do so. The service I received there is by far the best in the area. However, I was dreading the shopping experience, as this was the first time I'd shopped at a dealership and I'd heard horror stories about other dealerships in Portland. To my surprise, every interaction I had at Berlin City Toyota was respectful, friendly, and not-pushy. Ed Giroux, my Sales Guide, could not have been more helpful! He listened to me attentively, gave me unbiased advice, and helped me find an awesome car well within my budget. Cliff walked me through the financing options thoughtfully and helped me think about the pros and cons of different options. Ed and Cliff made my first car shopping experience easy, stress-free, and fun! I highly recommend this dealership, specifically Ed and Cliff, to everyone and I look forward to buying my next Toyota from them! More

Sounds like major design and supply problems to this consumer. To rub salt in the wound, no loaner vehicle available, cost of rental denied. Berlin City Toyota of Portland, ME, staff was arrogant and unsympathetic. Believe me, I will never recommend this dealership and I'll never purchase another Toyota vehicle again. 06/08/10 Update: After a rough start, Berlin City Toyota stepped up and did the right thing. The damaged part was ultimately determined to be not rodent related and covered by warranty. They provided a loaner vehicle for me to use for the duration of the repair, which has now been completed. I visited Toyota in January with my parents looking into a Corolla lease. When I picked up my car there had been a mistake applying the serial number to the windows and Toyota replaced it within a week or two. Great service, Ed was very friendly. I would recommend Berlin City to anyone looking for a new car that doesn't want to deal with a pushy salesperson. My parents and I have visited several other dealerships in the past couple of years and none of those experiences compare to the one we had at Berlin City Toyota Scion. More

I was looking for a newer used car and i went to berlin... what a mistake.. I found a mini van there that seemed pretty nice they also had a sale that said there was a 3500 trade for any car you cou berlin... what a mistake.. I was all for it. So the sales person talked to the finance guy and came back with an amount with trade that was more then the original asking price..are you kidding me you shiesters. I was not happy. I told them to look up the KKB value.. I had already done this at home. They came back using the 90210 zip code trick. It will boost the value. make sure you check this Berlin will try this on you too. The only good thing was the sales person who was caught in the middle of this mess... Get out of there asap go work for a place like Prime they are nice like you(I bought my car from Prime Toyota) Finance Guys !*@% ()&& and stop being thieves, it may be good for your wallet but very bad for your soul!!! Ed explained Toyota's commitment to their product with certified pre-owned vehicles, gave me a tour of the dealership, explained how the service department is well equipped, and was very professional and courteous! I really felt like he was working for ME! Jamie (sorry didn't get last name) was very pleasant and explained all my options in protecting my purchase. I was very comfortable asking questions and understanding the explanations. Compared to the dealerships I have visited the past few weeks I have to say Berlin City Toyota was HANDS DOWN the best experience in purchasing my pre-owned Toyota. A visit to another local dealership 30 minutes before closing time was terrible and I felt they didn't want my business. When I stepped into Berlin City Toyota 30 minutes from closing time, I was welcomed and made to feel that time wasn't a factor. Another dealership didn't make any effort to get me the vehicle I was interested in, didn't want me to take it home that day either but yet expexcted a "hold" payment so it wouldn't be sold from under me, not to mention...the trade value they were offering was NOT fair. I met a couple in the showroom who said they had worked with Ramzi in the past and this dealershp wasn't as covenient to get to but that they would follow Ramzi anywhere - so would I!!!! When I called the next day to say I wanted a used car, he found it in Vermont and it arrived within 24 hours AND he remembered to tell them if the owner had smoked in the car that I wouldn't want it. Oh did I mention that on the day I picked up the car there were colorful balloons attached and he took my picture next to my 2008 silver Scion xB. I love it, and I'm extremely fond of Ramzi.
