Baugh Ford

Incompetent, dishonest service department. I have been doing business with Baugh Ford for about 10 years now, I bought a truck from them a few years ago and have had work done in their servic I have been doing business with Baugh Ford for about 10 years now, I bought a truck from them a few years ago and have had work done in their service department many times, I wrote a previous review about a year ago giving them 5 stars. But since then they have a new service manager and incompetent mechanics working there. I'm a senior citizen and veteran living on a fixed income and I had my oil change done there a few weeks ago and they over filled my truck by 3 quarts, lucky I checked and caught this and told them about it. They blamed it on the equipment used to pump oil in bulk, but a quick look at the oil stick would have cured this problem. Next, after draining some of the oil I checked and it was still overfilled, they blamed it on my truck and told me to get an oil analysis which showed there was no problem with my truck. $40 spent on analysis. Next I went to Baugh with a noise coming from under my truck, they told me that it was the 4wd system and I needed repairs done that would cost me $650. This didn't sound right so I went to Long Lewis in Alabaster and showed them the estimate and they checked my truck and found that a weld had broken on the exhaust heat shield and fixed it with a $5 clamp. I showed Baugh's service manager the receipt and asked for the $120 they charged me for a diagnostic fee to be returned. He laughed at me and said that I described the noise wrong and he wasn't giving me anything back, and waved me to the door. I told him that he knew I was right but he didn't care, he just wanted to cheat a old man out of his money. So if your parents or grandparents go to Baugh, please tell them to beware of false diagnostics and shoddy work. Go somewhere else to a reputable dealership like Baugh used to be. More

I ask several questions about the truck ie; How to start the truck, how to put it into 4 wheel drive and some other questions. They pretty much told me to figure it out.
