The test drive was enjoyable. I got the impression Vince was a driving enthusiast. Particularly likes BMWs. If it was all an act, I fell for it. Now I've got a great piece of driving machinery to show for it. So far a good experience. The dealership pushes quick reviews on this site, so it's difficult to tell how much data the other reviews cover in the aggregate. They should really ask for these reviews at the end of your lease after you've taken the car in a few times. I'm gonna be pretty upset if the service falls short of expectations (once they've already got me locked in on a lease). Time will tell. More
I contacted Ganley BMW through the internet in response to an ad they posted online for a Certified Pre-Owned 2008 BMW 335i. They were about 400 miles away from where I live in NJ, but they were the only to an ad they posted online for a Certified Pre-Owned 2008 BMW 335i. They were about 400 miles away from where I live in NJ, but they were the only place I could find with the exact car I was looking for so I contacted them anyway. I was quite skeptical at first that I could be made to feel comfortable buying a car from so far away without even getting to see it in person, especially since I also had a trade-in that they couldn't inspect in person. But after speaking with Shawn Redic on the phone a number of times, I began to feel reassured that I could trust him - that he was forthcoming with all details about the car and that I would not have any unexpected surprises if I drove all the way out to Cleveland to make my trade-in and buy the car. He told me right up front, for instance, that the car had been in a minor accident a few years ago. I didn't have to find out myself on the carfax report. He also assured me, as I could believe from the many pictures he posted of the car, that it was repaired with all factory-replacement bodywork and was in perfect condition, consistent with BMW certified pre-owned requirements. Shawn and I talked on the phone many times, and one thing I noted was that he was incredibly responsive, and picked up the phone immediately almost every single time I called. Even when I called after hours. He gave me his cell phone number so I could be sure to get in touch with him any time. The price being offered for the car was one of the best I could find in the whole country for the car in question. And we negotiated a deal that included my trade-in, with the assumption that my car was in the condition I said it was, and that their car was in the condition Shawn said it was. They said they could have the car prepared for me the next day, so I drove out the next day. I got there before the car was finished being detailed, so Fred Palmer, the Pre-owned manager, sent me out to lunch at a local restaurant, on them. Fred and Shawn looked my car over for about 30 seconds and gave it the thumbs up, no quibbling over any imperfections or anything like that. They brought my car out to me and I was literally stunned at what perfect condition it was in. It literally looked brand new no matter how close I looked at any given detail. They clearly had gone to great lengths to ensure I was fully satisfied. Shawn sat with me in the car and went over all the features and answered all my questions, it felt like I was buying a new car. My interaction with Mike Hall, the business manager, was equally satisfying. The monthly payment I negotiated with Shawn was actually a range of price, pending bank approval, and I had been nervous that the final price would be unexpectedly higher based on some reason or another (Call me scarred by previous dealings with other car dealers), but the price ended up being the lowest number in the range that Shawn had given me! Mike presented a number of additional protection plans and extended warranty options I could buy with the car, and I was very happy with how un-pressured I felt as Mike thoroughly explained all the details and answered all my questions. I left the dealership feeling like a kid at Christmas time in my brand new (well, it feels brand new anyway) BMW, and wishing Ganley BMW was my local BMW dealer so I could deal with them for all of my car's future needs. If I buy another BMW after this one, I will seriously consider driving out there again based on my experience. I HIGHLY recommend this dealership and the people who helped me with my purchase. More
By far the Ganley experience was the best I have ever had and this was not my first BMW purchase. While the dealership pricing and web site is what got me to call it was Jerry's efforts and manor of handlin and this was not my first BMW purchase. This is the second sale at Ganley BMW with Ken Delk. He was very helpfull throughout the sale as we were out of town on vacation. We finialized the transaction by phone, and when we returned we picked up was very helpfull throughout the sale as we were out of town on vacation.
