This was the first time I had bought a new car in 16 years. This is the first experience that I had with lining up the vehicle that I wanted over the internet and then going to the dealer to test drive years. This is the first experience that I had with lining up the vehicle that I wanted over the internet and then going to the dealer to test drive. While they did not have the exact vehilce in stock that I wanted, I was happy to wait for the vehicle to be built. The sales person was not too pushie in trying to make the sale; however, I knew that a sale was important to the overall business, every customer understands this. In this case, when the salesman simple answered my questions in an informative and non-pushie way, he was making the sale and gaining a client. Thank you. Of course I wanted to look at other vehicles, I told the salesman that and I felt comfortable about looking at other vehicles and not feeling that I had disappointed the salesman on our first encounter. In fact, I came back the same day and looked at the vehicles that I was interested in. After thinking about the purchase over the next 48 hours, I ended up coming back and completing the sale for the vehilce that I wanted with the color that I wanted and with the features that I wanted. This made for a very good experience and I was very happy with the overall process. I want happy that I was the one who contacted the salesman and said I wanted to buy X,Y & Z. In 4 to 7 years, I will come back and purchase another car based on this positive experience More
My overall experience was outstanding. Jacob was very professional throughout the entire experience and never pressured me and took his time to explain the benefits of buying a Certified Pre-Owned BMW as professional throughout the entire experience and never pressured me and took his time to explain the benefits of buying a Certified Pre-Owned BMW as well as work with me on a more competitive price on the car and my trade in. I would definately buy another BMW from Tischer and Jacob specefically! More
Upon reaching the Service Department door, I was greeted by a gentleman who was happy to see me on October 2. I know the routine in coming to the dealership to pick up my car. This gentleman made the expe by a gentleman who was happy to see me on October 2. I know the routine in coming to the dealership to pick up my car. This gentleman made the experience very pleasurable as if it was my very first time. I will explain. He greeted me, walked me to the cashier, he verified my name, and got my paperwork ready for the cashier (note: cashier was helping another customer at the time). Next, he informed me that my car would be coming up, shortly. After finishing up paperwork with cashier, I waited in my usual spot to pick up my car. To my surprise, the garage door open and my car was coming through the door. The same gentleman who greeted me was behind the wheel. After pulling through the Service Lane, he got out and removed all the protective devices to keep my vehicle clean. He explained that my Tire Pressure light was on. He further explained that due to the colder weather that morning, it would have been enough to trigger it. He said, “I brought your vehicle into the shop to check tire pressure in all the tires and reset the system.” I gathered from his in depth knowledge, that he was Paul’s replacement? I have dealt with Paul on prior visits. Paul was one of the Shop Foreman’s and very good at quality control. So, I asked him, “Are you Paul’s replacement?” He said, “No, but I use to be a Technical Instructor for BMW.” I ask this gentleman his name. He said, “Mike Crawford.” It was a tremendous pleasure to deal with someone who has genuine concern and had first hand working knowledge of my car. BMW of Silver Spring aka Tischer BMW, you have an asset in Mr. Crawford. Plus, I have been coming to this dealership for a very long time. I am happy to see and experience such a high level of service, professionalism, and honesty is back. Mr. Crawford keep up the good work, you have made me a believer, once again. Finally, I drove away feeling good that there are still people in the Automotive Industry that care about me as a customer and not by the amount of money spent. From a 'Renewed' Loyal Customer FYI: I feel very confident in recommending Tischer BMW to my clients and business associates. More
I drive a 2006 530xi sedan. I had a flat tire warning last Saturday afternoon (9/18). I did not notice a visible loss in pressure after 1 hour, so I drove to the dealership and told the same. I was servi last Saturday afternoon (9/18). I did not notice a visible loss in pressure after 1 hour, so I drove to the dealership and told the same. I was serviced by Jack Barber. He checked the pressure in all 4 tires and noted it was low on the right passenger side and would check the tire for damage. He came back in like 5 minutes and said everything was fine and it was just the weather and TPMS was acting up. I was skeptical if he could take a look at the tire that quickly. After he gave me the keys and said I was all set, I noticed he did not reset the i-drive. It was still showing the FTM screen and he had not bothered to set the tire pressure. I was not happy with the service, but assumed it was poor as it’s complementary. I got the flat tire warning again on Friday (9/24). I did not notice a visible loss in pressure even after a few hours. I did not visit the dealership given the poor service just a few days back. I set the tire pressure in the FTM menu. Flat warning came ON again on Sunday night and this time there was a visible loss in pressure on the right passenger tire. I put the spare and went back to the dealership Monday morning (9/27). I was serviced by Kevin Hull. He said there was a nail on the right passenger side and the tire had to be replaced. I was told nail was in the tire for a while as its head was smoothed out and in level with the tire. Had they done their job right, they should have found the nail on my first visit. It has been a very stressful week, with flat tire warning coming on 3 times and unable to understand if the sensor had gone bad or if there was an issue with the tires. I had to pull over and wait every time and drive with a very uneasy feeling all week. They also misplaced the valve stem cover yesterday and claimed that it was never there to start with !! I put the spare tire just this morning and I know the valve stem cap was there on the full size tire. I was “advised” they are sold in packs of 4 and I could buy a pack at the parts department or “should check on the bikes of the kids in the neighborhood as they really like bmw valve stem caps”. They are reckless and completely irresponsible. I will not visit this dealership again and not recommend it either. More

I had an excellent experience with the Tischer dealership, and would recommend it in a heart bit. The people there are great and I believe that in any kind of business this is what matters, the pe dealership, and would recommend it in a heart bit. The people there are great and I believe that in any kind of business this is what matters, the people. I decided about a month ago that it was time to replace the 12 year old BMW convertible I had, and I pretty much knew that I wanted another BMW even if I considered other manufacturers. I was not sure if I wanted a convertible or a coupe and I looked around. Living in Virginia I did not think I would go all the way to Maryland to buy a car, but looking online I found a few cars I was interested in at Tischer. They had a great selection and though it would be worth the trip. It certainly was even if I did not buy the car on my first trip. I was very impressed by what I saw. The staff was wonderful, welcoming, friendly and very attentive. It was a very pleasurable atmosphere, which I have not found at any of the other dealership I visited before. The manager Rick, that I met at this time, even though we could not agree on the price right there and then, made me think that it was the place where I want to buy my car. I enjoyed the conversation, honest and straightforward and I felt there was a real interest on both sides to make a deal. I said at that time that I was interested and that I was hoping we could come to an arrangement later if not today. I indeed was hoping that I could buy my next car at Tischer, because I felt comfortable with what I saw and what I heard. In general I am extremely cautious of sales people, and I brought a male friend along (I always heard that as a woman it is always better to bring a man with you at a dealership!), but in this instance I was very positively impressed. Rick kept in touch and I finally got the call I expected about a week later. I met then Manny, who took care of us on our second trip. I want to thank him for all his friendly attention, and the fun conversation on cars, and other advice! These people love what they do and the product they sell and it shows. Little things like offering a pizza, showing you some cool stuff about your new car, and being genuinely interested make a huge difference. That evening I left with my 335 crimson red coupe. It is a beautiful car, and I love driving it. It is just an amazing piece of engineering, and knowing that I bought it at the right place, makes it even better! More

I researched Certified Pre-Owned 328i's on the internet, and partly due to the strength of the ratings here on this site, and on advice from BMW message boards, I chose to check out Tischer BMW first, even and partly due to the strength of the ratings here on this site, and on advice from BMW message boards, I chose to check out Tischer BMW first, even though it was a little further away than some of the others in the DC area. I inquired via email about two specific cars, and Sigis Skirpa responded promptly and was very helpful. I made an appointment to stop by and test drive, and Sigis was very personable and low-pressure, and didn't try to push other vehicles or steer me to new purchase instead of CPO, which I have heard of being an issue with some other dealers, who make you feel like a second-class citizen for even inquiring about used vehicles. This was my first BMW purchase and I wasn't sure how the experience would be, but Sigis was a great 'ambassador' - very down-to-earth, patient, and eager to work with me. The specific cars I had requested to test drive were indeed available, and were both exactly as advertised on the Web. I was very pleasantly surprised by the condition of the Certified Pre-Owned cars - they are almost indistinguishable from new vehicles. I wound up purchasing a CPO 2007 328i - the purchase process was very laid back - we negotiated a bit and I got a price I was happy with without a lot of stress. While the usual optional stuff was offered during the closing process, I didn't experience the high-pressure sales and scare tactics I've gotten in past car-buying episodes - it was offered, and if I declined, no pressure was applied - I really appreciated that. After the purchase was complete, Sigis spent a lot of time with me familiarizing me with the functions of the vehicle, which is a big job given that the car is equipped with iDrive, which is like operating the Space Shuttle. But he was very patient and thorough and made sure my questions were answered before I left the lot, and he emphasized that I should not hesitate to contact him with any questions, even down the road - including if I have any service issues that are not resolved to my satisfaction. I dislike the car buying experience generally (I should a very negative review of my experiences with Stohlman VW, for example), and I hate to sound like an ad for Tischer, but their good reputation is well-deserved in my experience - and I recommend looking up Sigis in particular (I didn't deal with anyone else, so I can't speak to the attitudes of the other CAs). Our buying experience with Tischer was very good. After locating the car we wanted online, we handled a lot of the preliminary business over the phone since we are out of state buyers. Once we arrived eve locating the car we wanted online, we handled a lot of the preliminary business over the phone since we are out of state buyers. Once we arrived everyone was quite friendly. We discovered some minor issues with the car and could not get them repaired that day as the service center was closed, however they assured us that it was covered by warranty and we had them taken care of once we arrived back in Charlotte. As promised we were sent the entertainment cartridge and extra key within days of our purchase. Our overall buying experince was a positive one and I would like to personally thank Lonnie and Rick for taking such good care of us. More
