Service is decent, Sales defend their interest recklessly I will be as objective as possible. I've had a lease through BMW Financial and was wondering if I could trade in for a decent car at a decent monthly I will be as objective as possible. I've had a lease through BMW Financial and was wondering if I could trade in for a decent car at a decent monthly payment. My credit was "approved" since I made all my payments on-time. Joe Garcia was excellent at providing me with alternatives within the restrictions I provided. However, when I requested clarity regarding how they were calculating the monthly payment on the possible new lease: they failed, and they failed miserably, professionally and personally. By "them" I mean the other two staff members from the finance department that joined them in "trying to clarify" the monthly payment breakdown. The woman even contacted the BMW dealership where I got my first lease to confront them about leasing an older car. BMW of Murrieta alledgely does not lease older cars. I continued to press on the inconsistencies with the sticker price and how they were calculating it into the monthly payment. And again they failed at clarifying it to me. Instead, they kept dodging it and tried to lead me off topic into a different number or scenario. I insisted in getting clarification about the residual percentage and the sticker price and they continued to dodge. Side note, I am texting the original BMW rep that got me the first deal at the other dealership and my friend who is a consumer law attorney (so they can guide me through the process). My synthesis: I understand they are trying to make money, I get it. However, what I find particularly wrong is their misleading and intimidating ways. Instead of educating me about the process, they opted to intimating me by grouping up and trying to "sweeten" things up (the older guy offered me a Starbust, seriously, thats offensive,) and lying about numbers. I was trying to engage them in negotiation, but instead they opted to mislead me and intimated me. That's is just wrong! Morale: Understand how monthly lease payments are calculated. And negotiate the "sticker value" of the car, always! And ask to see the breakdown of the payment plan, so you can see the residual percentage and money factor. Knowledge is power! The more you know the more you save (the less you get screwed?) TSK TSK BMW OF MURRIETA, I am truly disappointed. The way YOU treated me is an insult to my intelligence. I will still take my car for free car washes and service tho!!! So far, service dept. has been good, hence; the 1 star. Otherwise, I would have vote a zero star. Hope this helps, world! quick and easy I saw a used car online for sale so my wife and my kids went down with me to take a look and a test drive, I was greeted by salesman Robert Guiterre I saw a used car online for sale so my wife and my kids went down with me to take a look and a test drive, I was greeted by salesman Robert Guiterrez , told him why we were there so he grabbed the car and my wife and I test drove the car, Not once did we feel pressured by him and we found out he lived near our neighborhood and had other things in common as well. When I asked him specific questions about the car , he was upfront about it and if he didn't know, he found the paper work (Carfax) to show me. We made a deal, bought the car and financing was great! Ive bought around 10 to 12 cars in my life and this was the easiest and and smoothest transaction I have ever had ! Thanks to the wonderful people of BMW of Murrieta! More
