The work performed has been flawless and on time. Prices are very reasonable especially considering that the facility uses BMW approved processes and equipment. J.T. was patient, while my wife and I looked and drove several cars to make our choice. We never felt pressured. In the after-sale, J.T. got dealer approval on an item the dealer wasn’t required to cover. All in all, an excellent experience. I will definitely refer other current or potential purchasers to J.T. and to BMW Concord. More
Why drive to Concord BMW service center when there is a BMW service center considerably closer to our home? Our Service Adviser, Andrew Northrop, is precisely why we do. Initially we lived closer to BMW service center considerably closer to our home? Our Service Adviser, Andrew Northrop, is precisely why we do. Initially we lived closer to Concord when we purchased our BMW and recognized the confidence and valued trust we have in Andrew’s competence. Qualities that you consistently know before you arrive for service that you and your vehicle will leave taken care of in the best way possible. His attentiveness made a major difference on one occasion when unexpectedly the technicians needed the car to be left overnight and a family emergency needed attending to. We are pleased we can share widely what a trustworthy, personable, and practiced professional Andrew is. The ancillary care is noteworthy as well. More

The Concord BMW team is by far the most professional, courteous team I've ever had the pleasure to work with. When you take your car in, the team that greets you is friendly and courteous, the service advisors are professional and knowledgeable. My car is ready when they tell me it will be and it is always sparkling clean, even when it's raining! The majority of my visits have been w/Andrew Northrop, he is a long time employee who enjoys his job and cares about his clients. It's refreshing to walk into an establishment where people enjoy what they do; it makes for an overall great experience. I have recommended Concord BMW to several friends and co-works over the years, all have had the same great experience; they always thank me for sharing Andrew with them! More
Stay away from this dealership. The sales people are either unhelpful or horribly judgmental. "Ken" was VERY unhelpful when I was trying to learn more about the 1 series, and made my friend and I wa either unhelpful or horribly judgmental. "Ken" was VERY unhelpful when I was trying to learn more about the 1 series, and made my friend and I wait in the rain while he photocopied my driver's license for about 10 minutes. He did not even apologize for it. After the test drive, he wasn't even interested in dealing with me, so I got left. The next weekend I came to check out or even buy a different car, but I left pissed off because the salesperson "Boris" was incredibly condescending when negotiating a price on an OLD-stock model. That's right, a car from a couple of model years ago, with almost 100 miles on it. He tried to push a custom order on me from the start, but in the end he was a) UNABLE to quote me a price on this custom order and b) UNABLE to put in the order!!!! WHY push a custom order when I'm clearly interested in one of the cars they have on the lot AND when you cannot actually put in the order?? More

This is the first time I've ever posted any recommendation for anything on the Internet. Categorically, I rarely feel strongly enough about a purchase to take the time to share my experience. recommendation for anything on the Internet. Categorically, I rarely feel strongly enough about a purchase to take the time to share my experience. This is an exception. I've purchased four BMW's from BMW Concord and had them service five. I'm about to purchase my fifth BMW from BMW Concord, specifically from Hendrik Lesterhuis. I have continued to return to Hendrik and BMW Concord for the level of service and the no-nonsense approach to transactions. They actually focus on trying to satisfy you as a buyer rather than wasting hours of my time playing the negotiation game so common in vehicle sales. Hendrik and presumably BMW Concord as a whole, understand that most buyers of premium vehicles are educated about pricing. Accordingly, they don't do the relentless "dealer dance" in and out of the sales manager's office to complete a transaction. Like many car buyers, I already knew what I was prepared to spend and was given reasonable offers that were fair and honest for both parties. As a repeat customer, I have been frequently greeted not only by Hendrik, but by other long-term salespeople and the dealership owner when I'm in the dealership for whatever reason. They all have thanked me for my business even though some of them have never sold me a thing. Even when I'm not in the market for a new car, I still receive a regular phone call or two every year asking how the car is and if Hendrik or BMW Concord could be of service. On the service side, I've always been promptly greeted at the service entrance. I rarely have to wait to speak to a service advisor, and I'm out the door within 15 minutes. Try that at most service shops. I'm always asked if I need a loaner car or shuttle service to and from the dealership. When it comes time to pick up my car, it's always washed and ready to go as promised. With BMW's "no cost" maintenance, I have never had to chase the dealership to perform covered service. On the contrary, I've been told things like, "It looked like you needed wiper blades so we went ahead and took care of that for you." A few weeks ago, I did have a problem with my current BMW and had it towed to the dealership late on a Friday night. I received a phone call at 7:00am Saturday morning confirming that they saw the car and had started working on the repair. By 1:00pm, I had the car back, fully repaired and washed, with a full explanation of what had occurred and the repairs performed. On the flip side, I'll share a couple quick experiences with other local BMW dealerships. First there's Weatherford in Berkeley. I took two BMW's there for service over the years. The first time, I had an old BMW 2002. Obviously, it wasn't high on their list and I might as well shown up driving a Ford Pinto. I got the car back from the service, initially impressed that it had been washed. In closer inspection, I saw that someone had spilled brake fluid down the fender of the car and the wash job was just an attempt to hide the paint damage. They adamantly denied doing anything wrong and told a "modern" dealership such as theirs wasn't really interested in my business anyway. A second time, I was reluctantly forced to take a "modern" 5 series there for warranty service. I was informed that there was no problem and they couldn't fix a problem that didn't exist. The problem was ultimately resolved by BMW Concord's service department based on a technical bulletin sent to all BMW service centers from Germany. My second BMW dealership experience was when I was shopping for my second new BMW. I went by East Bay BMW in Pleasanton just for comparison. I was quoted a price several thousand dollars more than the offer from BMW Concord. I asked the sales person why I would entertain paying more for the same car from East Bay BMW some 25 miles further away from my home. The smug answer was that, "That's our best price and there's more to picking a dealer than price." I agreed and said, "Yes, location and customer service," and went back to BMW Concord and drove home a new BMW that afternoon. BMW is obviously a premium marque. I expect to receive premium service when purchasing and owning this caliber of vehicle. BMW Concord, and specifically Hendrik have met or exceeded my expectations for many years. I strongly recommend that anyone in the market for a BMW speak to Hendrik at BMW Concord. More

The test drive he recommended was what sealed the deal -- he gave us all the time we needed and it was great to test both side roads and freeway. I think we got a wonderful deal on the price, even though we paid exactly what was asked....usually not the case.
