I would very much like to say that Avondale Nissan is a decent dealership with integrity. Unfortunately, that is not the case. My 20 year old daughter is in Phoenix for an internship. Her car completely di decent dealership with integrity. Unfortunately, that is not the case. My 20 year old daughter is in Phoenix for an internship. Her car completely died unexpectedly (despite just having been fully serviced and cleared for the trip). With only one day to shop, her budget not being the highest, we went in search of a vehicle. We saw some terrible vehicles. The best one we saw, with 24 pages of carfax history, was at Avondale Nissan. It was not my daughter’s first choice, but it seemed like the most reliable. Because it was a Sunday and she made her choice late, it was too late to take the car by a mechanic for an inspection. Avondale provided one that they performed along with an invoice saying that they completed the failures on their inspection. Our daughter took the car for an inspection two days later (it was the earliest the mechanic could get it in). There were multiple failures on the inspection including an active and serious coolant leak that required immediate attention. Things that were failures on the original inspection but supposedly repaired, were failing (shocks and struts). The brakes they had said that they replaced were not and need replacement. The list was extensive. A few days later, the check engine light came on and that was a failing air intake hose. There is so much more. We called the dealership. Being stationed (yes, military retiree now working for the Department of the Army) in Illinois with our daughter in Arizona, we can only try to help from afar. The lemon law, if nothing else, should help in this situation. The dealer DOES NOT respond. Corporate offices DO NOT respond. It hasn’t even been 15 days yet and she has to shell out the equivalent of what she paid for the car in repairs. I would be more than happy to share the inspection reports that have now been done by two different, unrelated mechanics. This dealership (Fahim and Lupita assured me that Avondale Nissan takes care of their customers) does not care about their customers, they are NOT going to make anything right for the customer, and are NOT honest and honorable in their dealings. Again, pictures, the papers they provided, etc don’t lie and, frankly, what the dealership provided and what the mechanics have found seem to be two completely different vehicles in terms of what the integrity of the car says. I would NOT suggest this dealership to anyone. We’d file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but the dealership already has a D- rating. Go somewhere else. More
