​🚨 URGENT SAFETY WARNING FOR BUYERS 🚨 ​I am posting this to warn any families currently looking at the 2018 Volkswagen Passat (VIN ending in 003179) currently listed on this lot. ​We recently purchase this to warn any families currently looking at the 2018 Volkswagen Passat (VIN ending in 003179) currently listed on this lot. ​We recently purchased this vehicle for our daughter and had to return it after a catastrophic mechanical failure. On March 17, 2026, this car was professionally inspected by Greulich’s Automotive Repair, where it was diagnosed with major transmission issues and missing transmission bolts. It is an 188,000-mile vehicle that is mechanically unsafe. ​Despite having a professional diagnostic in hand proving the car is broken, AutoNation "serviced" it on March 19th (a simple brake check) and officially relisted it for sale on March 24th. ​They are currently advertising this car as a "Great Value" and "Worry-Free," completely ignoring the fact that it was just returned for life-threatening mechanical defects. We have reported this deliberate misrepresentation to the Arizona Attorney General. ​Please do not buy this car without a 3rd party inspection. Do your homework—the safety of your family isn’t worth their "no-haggle" price. More
