Bought an Edge. The salesperson was less than enthusiastic. Didn’t even thank us for business or say goodbye after our purchase. Just walked away from us. Before the sale was made (which we didn’t even haggle over price- just test drive and said we’d take it) there was an issue with our Carfax on the car we were trading in. A clerical error. Was told by sales manager I would have to go to DMV to fix. I did go to DMV first thing the next morning (what a pain) and was told by DMV it was a Carfax issue. DMV said they couldn’t fix it on their end until car was sold. I told dealer this. Dealer claimed to call Carfax and told us Carfax said it was a DMV issue. Meanwhile I had opened a case inline with Carfax and Carfax resolved it and told me It was indeed their error. So the sales manager basically lied to us because he didn’t want to deal with getting it straight. He argued with us and was very condescending when I told him what the DMV told me. Even his title clerk called DMV and was told the same thing I was told by DMV. But I got it fixed working with Carfax via email. Bought the car there were a few minor issues I wanted checked. Extremely low tread in front tires and a lens plate on tail light that had moisture in it that took several days to dry out and I wondered if it needed looked at or replaced. Dealer told me both were fine and gave me a hard time about looking at it. Choosing to argue instead. They had forgotten to put the floor mats back in after detailing. I did not notice until next day. I went back to get those. No apologies for the inconvenience. I ended up leaving pretty upset. Took my car to another Ford dealer who looked at the lens cover issue and said the seal was failing. So there’s that. How hard would it have been for the dealer selling the car to look at these issues I was concerned about instead of arguing? The finance people were awesome! The two that I worked with- top notch- Bill and Charlie. Sadly, I won’t be returning to this dealer and not recommending it to friends. I should add I’m in outside sales for a living. It’s a tough job dealing with people. But I would never want one of my customers to have this kind of experience. More
Poor dealership. I brought my vehicle in for airbag recall. Technician nicked panel and caused it to be slightly loose. Told new panel was ordered and should arrive 7 to 10 days later and I would rec recall. Technician nicked panel and caused it to be slightly loose. Told new panel was ordered and should arrive 7 to 10 days later and I would receive a call. Over three weeks later, no call. I also asked for transmission to be checked as it was slightly sluggish going from first to second gear on occasion. All I heard was age of vehicle replacement recommended. I asked about flush, but was told it won't do any good due to age of vehicle. I will never purchase or service a vehicle thru business again. More
