I came in today for a new car and was instantly greeted by Dan. Let me tell you one thing: I AM SO GLAD THAT I HAD DAN AS MY SALESMAN. He was not only knowledgeable of every single car that we looked at, b by Dan. Let me tell you one thing: I AM SO GLAD THAT I HAD DAN AS MY SALESMAN. He was not only knowledgeable of every single car that we looked at, but he was so kind and truly had my best interest at heart. NO TRICKS, BELLS NOR WHISTLES WHATSOEVER. I was even torn between two cars and one was significantly more expensive than the other. Not for one minute did I feel like Dan was trying to “sell”, if you will, me on anything for the sake of his own profit. As for Automax of Ocala as a whole, it was hands down the best experience I’ve had while purchasing a vehicle. Service was quick and all of my questions were answered. Automax even ORDERED A NEW RADIO for my vehicle because we had an issue after purchase. Thank you Automax of Ocala!!! More

Being a non-branded auto dealership, Auto Max is operated very professionally. Our salesman Mykal, was very low keyed, yet to the point. Everything about the experience was smooth and “bump in the road” free. Until I drove the truck about 5 to 6 hundred miles and the check engine light came on. Took the Ram 3500 I had purchased with a 24 month 24,000 mile extended warranty. When the Chrysler dealership in Gainesville Florida ran the warranty the DPF components were specifically not covered. This was not disclosed at the time of purchase of said warranty. Now for this item to just jump up and fail after purchase of vehicle is rather suspicious, but things do happen at the most inopportuned time. Not accusing anyone of misleading or miscommunication, I would say not explaining the limitations of the warranty you are selling to your buyer. The repair that is going to have to be done is between $4,300.00 and $4,700.00. Now when the engine light came on I took the vehicle to a local auto-parts store, they did a diagnostic read out, and told me what was wrong. Too my dismay the Chrysler garage found the same thing, and the system was severely clogged and needed total replacement. One. I am not happy about the mechanical failure of the EGR filtering system, but no one caught it when the vehicle was run through your shop. Two. If it did come up, and the codes were cleared, that scenario makes me shudder. Or three, your people at the closing of the sale and the signing of the documents, and purchasing the extras the finance person presented to us, when she only had a limited knowledge of the additional products they were offering to the purchasers. Do I expect anything to be done to relieve my financial pain, No. I just want you to be aware of the cracks in the foundation of your well presented dealership. Thank you for viewing this.
