Joe Selander made it feel like he really cared and was patient and informative throughout the three weeks my car was in the shop. He's very knowledgeable and personable all at the same time. Audi definitely has a good person on their team with Joe. I would recommend him, and this location for service to anyone on the Audi team. The other girls that work there and helped while Joe was out (when I picked up my car) were just okay. They would make the experience just normal, as Joe made it an awesome/easy one. The other girls didn't seem as knowledgeable or happy to help. So all in all, as I hope to never come back for large fix, my time with this location, with Joe, was a smooth one to say the least. More
Surprisingly enjoyable experience After scheduling service on my Audi, I received a call from the dealership asking if I was interested in an appraisal on my current vehicle while my c After scheduling service on my Audi, I received a call from the dealership asking if I was interested in an appraisal on my current vehicle while my car was in for service. My immediate thought was “great, now I get to be stalked at the dealership while waiting for my car.” I agreed to the appraisal letting them know I wasn’t looking into purchasing another Audi at this time, but they were fine to complete the appraisal as I was curious about its trade-in value. While waiting for my car to be serviced, I received an email letting me know the value of the appraisal and to contact them someone in sales if I wanted to discuss further. It was nice to have the information to review in my own and to reach out to sales if I wanted to versus someone in sales approaching me. While onsite I had found a fairly-priced used Mercedes that did catch my attention but didn’t give it too much thought as I expected a low-ball appraisal. The combination of a fair trade-in offer and a fairly priced used vehicle where I felt I wouldn’t have to haggle had me reach out to the first person I found in the sales department to talk about a test drive. That was person was Valerie who was friendly and not pushy. We test drove the car in heavy 5pm traffic which is actually realistic for driving in that area, and she was not rushed or phased about the length of the test drive. She was helpful but not focused solely on the sale which was nice. We discussed the car’s features, but I didn’t have to hear a laundry list of reasons to buy the car, so I could actually decide if the car was working for my needs based on driving it. We returned to the dealership and wrote up the paperwork in a matter of minutes. It was great to feel happy with the deal I got and not feel beat up like I have in the past while buying a car. I have mostly used Carmax for the no haggle reason, but my last transaction with them left me feeling like they low-balled my trade-in after seeing it on their website a week later for $5K more, so that longtem business relationship with them came to an end. The overall process with Valérie was great. Her manager came out to introduce himself at one point but didn’t try to take over the transaction which again was nice to just let things move along without “helping”. I’m enjoying the Mercedes, and part of that enjoyment is feeling like I was treated well during the purchase. Thanks Valérie. Shout out to Larry in service who was coordinating the work on the Audi I ended up trading in during my service appointment. He was very competent and enjoyable to work with which will be good in case I jump back to Audi in a few years. More
