We asked Don from Apple to diagnose my husband's car problems (rattling noise upon startup). He called with a $1000 quote (to fix the injector coil #4, spark plugs, egr port, fix both axles and replace problems (rattling noise upon startup). He called with a $1000 quote (to fix the injector coil #4, spark plugs, egr port, fix both axles and replace four tires, and to reprogram the computer) and we decided not to pursue fixes as it's an old car.

My husband tried repeatedly to call the service department from work and was hung up on and sent to voice mail each time we called. We finally went to pick up the car and WAITED for an hour while Apple's service unit was taking their ice cream break. We didn't have any of these problems on the diagnostic sheet they gave us, which only said that the serpentine belt was cracking and the tires were in the red zone. The bottom line--had we trusted them to perform the work--would have been $2200.

We got home and had a message on the home answering machine from Don from the service department (no number), even though we had specifically requested that we be called at work.

We are in the market for a new vehicle. It's safe we do not plan to visit Apple and would NOT recommend the service department here to any friends or colleagues.

More
Horn and speed control have failed in driven by my daughter Ford car. Apple estimate: To repair horn I need to replace Clock Spring $138, and Resonator $24 with $320 for 4 hours of labor. To repair daughter Ford car. Apple estimate: To repair horn I need to replace Clock Spring $138, and Resonator $24 with $320 for 4 hours of labor. To repair speed control I need Teach Control at $120 part and $60 labor. I have learned from my research that Clock Spring is a contact, which actually should affect both horn, and speed control but it is available for $110 and 2Hrs labor at dealership next door... but Resonator is part of an exhaust system, and Teach Control does not exist! I confronted Don - service clerk with findings. He did not admit to lies, I have made a mistake and calculated that I need to pay $90 to get my keys back so doing just horn should repair both horn and speed control as it includes Clock Spring. I let them do just horn. In a process they kept car for four days and forced me to pay also $310 for an airbag replacement and next 1Hour of labor for that. Later my daughter told me that airbag light was OK all the time. They claimed that a fuse was broken on the light and only when they changed fuse the airbag light came on and stayed on. That was not true, but I already had paid $900 for keys to my car... By the way out of all old parts I shall receive the only one, I got from them was Clock Spring. and, yes the cruise worked, with no payment for the placement of not existing Teach Control. Explanation: Mechanic had a part in his toolbox and he put it in for free… I guess, Thank you for not sabotaging my speed control. To sweeten the deal even further, I got a free rental car for the fourth day of repair… $30 value. I shall be happy. NEVER APPLE AGAIN. THIS IS VERY ROTTEN ONE. More
During a routine service, they told my wife, there was safety issues with her car and they needed authorization to do additional work. She of course said yes. The car had 29,000 miles on it and they per safety issues with her car and they needed authorization to do additional work. She of course said yes. The car had 29,000 miles on it and they performed a radiator flush. I went with her and complained at their tactics to do additional unnecessary work. They just smiled and made me pay the bill to get the keys back. I later found out that a radiator flush is recommended at 40,000 miles and is not a safety issue.
I will never use a company again that tries to take advantage of women with underhand tactics. More
